Handheld Supernova should one shot with an Exotic atleast.

I mean, Titans literally have a melee ability that when paired with an Exotic, can kill supers so umm 🤷

  • It should one shot without one. Thunder clap. OHK melee with no exotic. Long charge up but can be released for less damage (Which is still useful) Ohk Throwing knife. (This one is the real joke) Easy aim assisted head shots (Like seriously, I've been mid slide or clearly to the side of where the knife was thrown and it still counted and I had no lag) Refunds on kill. Short charge up animation. Long range. Easy as. Hand held super nova. Longer charge time than throwing knife, short hold time, shorter range, if you time it wrong you're dead simple as that. Have to lose a grenade for it. Had self kill. The fact that throwing knife is said to "Require skill" but hand held doesn't considering the higher risk and required forethought baffles me.

  • Realistically the entirety of the Chaos Accelerant aspect needs a rework. It somehow manages to be the least effective of all of the Grenade buffing aspects while also somehow having so many drawback and penalties topped off with only one fragment slot. Every single option available for Chaos accelerant should be a MASSIVE power boost given all of this. Instead: 1: vortex is barely an improvement and which realistically doesn’t ever really end up outperforming its uncharged version anyways. The charged variant at least used to deal more damage but that’s no longer a thing. 2: Axion is an improvement, but hardly and improvement enough at least in PvE. 3: Scatter being charged is an outright nerf to the grenade. 4: Handheld Supernova is a shell of its former self and not worth the use at all, especially when it’s better in any situation to use a regular magnetic ‘nade anyways. I’m not gonna sit here and pretend I know how to code or design and balance a game, but anyone with half a brain could see what a waste of an aspect this is. Why in the world would anyone take it over child (even with the problems it has) or Devour (even though you can literally get it almost as easily using a fragment). Only reason I could see is a mild buff to DR while charging with the use of Contraverse Hold. Honestly in my opinion, the whole of Warlock, especially Voidwalker, is beyond bland af and massively underpowered. It lacks any flavor, spice, or oomf. Nothing special to it. Not even an aura for its own class buff (devour), when the other two void subclasses got cool aura glows for their own buffs. Bland. Af.

      The contraverse hold should grant increased grenade damage. That way hand helds can one shot again. Also chaos accelerant sucks, one slot and it doesn’t do much for the overcharged grenades.

      • Would rather voidlock be more about gravity. Push and pull mechanics and less about the debuffs. Child could have a slight pull (what I expected from tether in taken king) to it instead of weaken and HHsn could have a decent push with ohk potential if point-blank into a close wall. Though I love the current void warlock kit, I would love to see it be more about gravity based abilities with the other classes barely getting a similar effect or aspect as well.

        I don’t mind it being reverted back to being a ohk without an exotic. Just make the cone smaller (not that I mind the original cone)

        • Trying to compare landing a headshot with weighted throwing knife to a 1 hit shoulder charge with peregrines or throwing a grenade that has to just land somewhere near the player for a 1 hit is laughable, I’ve barely ever used weighted throwing knife but it is exponentially more difficult than either of those options. Peregrine functionality should be removed from crucible or require some actual prerequisite other than being airborne (which is how titan movement works anyway) to effectively land 1 hit melees.

              • I'd rather see added utility for HHSN. I just don't think there's a good balance for a OHK HHSN where it feels good to use and it feels fair to be killed by I've been an advocate for adding the lesser suppression effect to it, like is on Bombardiers, and a stronger pushback effect. It would let it be a good tool for either stopping an aggressor or getting some cheeky environmental kills

                • Yup, they lied when they said that they wanted less one hit kills in PVP. I also never see HHSN in PVE content.

                    • Honestly id like to see a boost to its push ability. Having mained controverse for multiple seasons it was cheesy and downright unfair before, and now it has been buffed back up again slightly it would be over the line. I really want to see it buffed again in pve. Seeing it do ridiculous damage would lean into it being a ‘supernova’ without being too broken.
