My Problems with Destiny 2

Destiny has been having the same issues for a while now that are yet to be addressed and new issues that are starting to pop up out of no where imo so imma just put them down here in hope that Bungie sees this: - Seasonal Content. The seasonal content in this game are becoming a little too repetitive. We always have the typical new seasonal activity with a new storyline weekly. Can we have something a little more permanent, like maybe say new strikes, changes to playlist activites to keep them fresh as we spend the most time in these playlists. Crucible for example lacks incentive to play, gambit is still gambit and needs alot of improvement, normal strikes lack incentive too. Normal strikes should have some sort of incentive, maybe like strike specific armor (like D1 did). - Loot. Is it me or the game doesn't have the same feel it used to have with loot? As a former D1 Player, damn the loot chase was so -blam!- cool to chase in D1. We had all sorts of cool weapons that are all good in their unique way. Getting a piece of armor or exotic weapon or whatever it was in Destiny 1 really hit different. Exotics had such a strong impact on us and we'd all be telling stories on how we got our exotics, it really was incredible. In destiny 2, exotics dont even matter besides their stats. I mean yeah the grind became different compared to D1, but there still must be a way for players to give stories on how they got their favourite exotics because in its current state, we don't have that anymore. We need a way to differentiate more between loot, make them feel more precious, more prestigious. - The feeling of progression. Progression in Destiny is nearly gone. I read a few peoples' experiences with new light and damn its pretty bad. They would be at 1350 power then they'd instantly launch up to 1540 skipping the entire grind and making them eligible to do the harder activities. Why does that happen? You should use power level to direct the player to play certain activities in order to end up doing the correct activities required for him to progress in the game. They instantly have a high power and they end up not really knowing what to do. Also once you reach max power level, it all becomes just a build crafting game (which I like don't get me wrong) but we must have some other paths of progression. Guardian Ranks and accommodations is coming which will be good but lets hope its enough to shake up the game a bit. I was really hoping for a power level system overhaul with Lightfall but ig we're not getting it this time. - Lack of hard activities in PVE. PVE's hardest activities might be the Grandmaster nightfall and Master raids. However, they don't give the player freedom to use the weapons they collected over their journey. We need a place where we can show off all of our strength without being limited to what we can use. Legend difficulty in Witch Queen was great, why not copy that elsewhere? - Eververse. I know this is a losing war but man it really hurts to see how much armor and cool cosmetics there are over there in eververse. Imagine if they put an ornament set for maybe each playlist activity, maybe an armor set for going flawless, maybe an armor set for completing master raids. There is so much potential but Eververse is holding back the game alot. The game has many other source of monetization now such as expansions, season passes, dungeon keys, event cards, and whatever new special events they decide to put that cost money. There's so many avenues for Bungie to make money out off so atleast spread out the loot of eververse throughout the game. The game will be active in all ends, people will be playing playlist activities, doing old raids, and more. - Old Content & Story Issues. I've recently been noticing this alot more but damn the old content really is ruining the game's story progression. Like bro Variks is still talking about how Eramis is defeated and all that but Eramis just came back to life this season so like please can you update dialogue in the game to fit the story progression? Even with Hawthrone, like damn she's still congratulating me on defeating Ghaul. Bro we became best buddies last season like come on (why does she even exist legit question). Edit: Some Cayde 6 Dialogue is in the game which is pretty confusing for both new and returning players. - PVP. PVP is just terrible in its current state. Theres a lack of incentive, too much lag as a result of sbmm (atleast in either ends of the spectrum, the average players wont have much problems) and many more but I'm tired of typing xd - New Light Experience. Without a friend to guide the new player, its terrible. These are my current problems with Destiny 2 in its current state, lemme know what you guys think I might even add or change some based on what I see. Anyway thanks for taking some of your time to read this.

  • Eramis: The thing with NPCs not being updated to new storylines that clearly and obviously contradict that NPCs storyline is annoying. Some of it is downright confusing to new lights. We pop into the game with almost no instructions, random NPCs are referencing content that just isn't there and then other NPCs are saying things that aren't true. I find that to be a bizarre aspect of the game.
