When trying to preorder the dlc I noticed that I have to pay a lot more for the dlc this time around compared to witch queen. With the deluxe costing 40% more, I just think it’s crazy and just want to know why the price is much higher this year.

Inflation What’s not more expensive?

3 RepliesLight Fall is probably the least exciting DLC ever since CoO and Warmind.

1 ReplyInflation. By also you're pre ordering Content. 40$ Base 10$ Season 10$ Season 10$ Season 10$ Season 80$+ 2 Dungeons for the Price of 1. (20$ Each/-20$ in Annual Pass, originally 40$). 20$= 100$. 👍

4 RepliesYou're paying for dungeons this time, instead of them being free

1 ReplyI think the Strand subclass access is one reason for that

3 RepliesWitch Queen was 80us for the deluxe edition (100 if you added the anniversary pack) light fall is 100 for the annual pass (deluxe version). $20 could easily be caused by inflation alone, but since we do not know what is all included with the content, it could just be more content than WQ so it costs more, or a combination of the two.

6 RepliesIn addition to what Shark mentioned, the lightfall deluxe also includes a seasonal bonus each of the 4 seasons that include 1 cosmetic, 2 Ascendent Alloys, 3 Ascendent Shards, 1 exotic cipher (among other stuff). I’m not saying that necessarily makes up the $5ish per season, but it factors into it.

3 RepliesProbably because we’re getting more. Bungie tends to set expectations about the size of a content drop by pricing. They are letting us know that this will be a big one.
