Account question

Would an account be banned if another person runs (farm) raids for them while they are unable to play? (ie. On vacation or at boot camp)

  • Can a player be banned? Yes. The intent of the rule is for paid carries… Ie a friend or relative helping out is not what bungie is after. If the account helping out has an isp history of “helping” out a lot of players… bungie might take an interest.

    • Yes. The odd time or two is OK but repeating is a target for a ban.

It is strongly recommended that you do not give your account login information to anybody. It is a very risky thing to do. They may delete your items or characters, or do things to get your account banned and there is no undoing those actions. If you're unsure what kind of activity may lead to a ban, please read the section about Account Recoveries in this article. Allowing someone to use your account to farm endgame activities for rewards is very likely bannable.
