Well In the sense of guns being easier to use.
Shotties obviously are the easiest in use but are the worst for specials due to their heavy nerfs
Snipers Take the most skill and are the most affective bc of their limitless range and control of lanes.
Fusions are obviously kind of the middle ground but to tell you the truth, they can be OP af

I think shotguns are a far cry from the worst special weapon, unless we're talking like rapid fires, because certain fusion frames are just flat out worse than any worthwhile shotgun archetype.

Overall trash? No But in comparison to fusions and snipers? Yes

Idk, I personally think rapid fire and high impact frame fusions are just flat out worse than any given non-rapid fire shotgun archetype, but I guess this discussion isn't specifying archetypal differences in favor of talking about the weapon type as a whole.
