RESOLUTION FOUND: Rolled back drivers to 512.95 AND statically set pagefile size to 2048/4096.
I don't understand why this worked for me but it did.
My launch options are currently set to: -high -USEALLAVAILABLECORES -force -d3d11
Destiny 2 crashes at title screen.
Originally thought it was part of the Nvidia driver issues that were going around, but I have rolled back to:
512.95, 512.77, 512.59, 511.79
I have also tried the following:
Removed and disabled shader cache
Reinstalled twice, DDU once, including registry and temp file deletion
Deleted just DLLs and verified
Reset CVARS.xml
Launch options
Launch as Admin
Anyone have any other ideas?
I currently have:
AMD Ryzen 7 3800x
RTX 3080 FTW Ultra
32GB Corsair Vengeance 3600MHz
MSI MAG B550 Tomahawk Mobo

Same Issue, Running 5900x, 12gb OC TUF 3080, 128gb ddr4 3600ghz. Have gone as far as reinstalling windows with no solution. Been dealing with this off and on for a few weeks. Bungie needs to fix this bug asap.

What other programs are you running?

Also running into this every time I've attempted to open the game today, so far 4 times. Sometimes I get to the character screen, but it freezes after I select one. Completely unresponsive, not even Alt+F4 closes it. Haven't run through your entire list of attempted fixes yet, but I haven't experienced freezes like this *ever*. Played the game nearly every day last week just fine. Ryzen 5800x Nvidia GTX 1080 | Driver 516.40 16GB Corsair DDR4 3600MHz

The same goes for me. The game crashes very often at the title screen and sometimes while loading an activity. I have no problem with other games, only with Destiny 2 AMD Ryzen 9 5900X RTX 3060 12Go | driver 516.40 16GB RAM

I'm getting the same issue, and sometimes ill be able to get into the game and choose my character, and then it will freeze while leading into any in-game activity.
-
Have the same issue here, freezing at title and some random times this started happening right after driver AND destiny update AMD Ryzen 9 5900X RTX 3070 TI | Driver 516.59 32GB RAM DDR4
-
Game just freezes/crash before getting to the character screen. I know for a fact the game was working fine during the day. I can only assume it's whatever the background update was.
-
Having the same issue. running the same ryzen CPU and Nvidia graphics card. Starting to think an update may have bricked their compatibility.

Edited by Sciencode: 6/28/2022 8:37:57 PMClearing my Steam download cache worked for me. SCRATCH THAT, STILL LOCKING UP....this is not the fix (at least by itself) Instructions: From your Steam Client, open the Settings panel by selecting "Steam > Settings" from the top left client menu. In the Settings panel, select the Downloads tab and you'll find the "Clear Download Cache" button at the bottom. Then select "OK" to confirm and acknowledge that you'll need to login to Steam again. Hope this helps!

Friend of mine was able to fix it by clearing the steam cache, then adding -force -d3d11 to the launch options in steam.
-
Time to find another game until bungie fixed their thing
