I grew up on a small farm where we had ‘meat rabbits’ and my mother would make pierogis with their meat. They were delicious 😁

I had rabbit and I didn’t even know I had rabbit, so it’s not bad at all.

I like it. My Mom would make gumbo with it or pretty much anything else. Squirrel, hog, raccoon, deer, snake (if you can get enough of them) are all alright in a gumbo!

6 RepliesSurvival tip for you; until you’re equipped enough to take on Pigs, place a few trap over a rabbit’s den. The rabbit will try to go home at night, then bam! Caught in the trap! Mix 1 meat, and 3 filler ingredients (ice is best if you make it to Winter, if not some berries will work) in a Crock Pot, and it’ll make Meatballs. Make sure to put any extra meat onto a drying rack, because Small Jerky won’t expire as fast as raw meat, then stick it in the ice box. Once you got some pigs nearby, though, they’re a much better source of food. Same recipe, though; 1 meat, 3 filler. Just make sure to not aggro them all at once.
