Query Timeout: Plum and Elden Ring Issue: Possible Fix
TLDR: Change default network setting in Elden Ring to offline, and make sure the game is disconnected by default whenever you launch, and D2 Battleye should hypothetically stop giving the error
I started having an issue where after 5-15 minutes of playing D2, after every time my game would give me a query timeout error code plum, and send me back to the main menu. After trying lots of things, what seems to have been the issue was Elden Ring. I only started getting the issues after having played ER.
Possible Reason: I believe the issue is that by default, ER launches and automatically connects you to the ER/EasyAntiCheat servers. Since that connection might linger or the EasyAntiCheat still have an active presence on my PC, Destiny Battleye would detect EAC as a problem and disconnect you.
FIX: For me, after doing some testing, the issue seems to have resolved after I go into the ER system settings, and changing the default network connection to offline. I can still play ER online by logging in and connecting but since it would now default offline once closed I would be disconnected and have no issues with D2. If I set the game to online by default, then I would once again have D2 issues, and vice versa. I would always test by playing around 30 minutes or when ever I got the Query Timeout when set to online. Ever since changing this setting, I have had zero issues with D2 and can play as much as I'd like. During testing I would also reopen Elden Ring after every session or before I would play D2 and make sure the default would be offline, but have since stopped doing that with no issues, but I cannot confirm it will work every time yet.
Let me know if this worked for anybody else, otherwise I can see if I can find another reason for the issue
