Disagree.
Hunters got PLENTY of love here...and I'm looking forward to playing my alt, and having more build choices than slapping on Orpheus Rig and running tether all the time.
No personal disrespect, but some of you just aren't used to thinking in terms of builds, and how to get the most out of the tools the game gives you.
Just the ability to use suppression grenades as Hunter----in a game where we're going to have enemies throwing supers at us---has my build-crafting gears whirring in anticipation.

Plus this “Echo of Domineering: After suppressing a target, gain greatly increased Mobility for a short duration and your equipped weapon is reloaded from reserves; Discipline bonus.”

Hunters are going to be great.....in pvp. Like they always are. Bungie refuses to make them viable for end game activities and it drives me insane.
Bungie refuses to make them viable for end game activities and it drives me insane.
They've made them viable. What they are NOT going to do is let you just pop a super, sit in one place and face-tank damage like a Titan or a Warlock. That is NOT the identity of the class. You're just unwilling to make use of the tools that the game is giving you. I play as a Hunter a LOT in end-game content, and I never feel like I'm underpowered, or have nothing to contribute. Its jsut that support from a Hunter takes more thought and effort....and looks different.
-
No they really haven't. Every group I come across asks me to play my titan or warlock in pve. Because Hunters are trash right now and it's apparently not changing in WQ.
-
Because LFG groups are TRANSACTIONAL. Everyone who comes to LFG is looking to get the content done as quickly as possible, and as easily as possible. Ward of Dawn and Well of Radiance allow players to tank damage. Which reduces the odds of players of lesser skill, and teams that aren't used to working together of having someone die....and causing a wipe. Playing a Hunter at end-game takes greater skill, more imagination....and their support roles involve either dealing damage (Gunslinger), crowd control (Arcstrider....for the few who use it) or orb generation/damage buffing/crowd control (Shadowshot). A well played Hunter is very valuable and very end-game viable. The issues is that many people don't know HOW to play a Hunter well at end-game....and others don't want to take the risk of getting stuck with someone who doesn't know how to play the class well....and keeps dying. Hunters aren't trash....and (with respect) those who think that simply don't understand how to play them.
