I'm having a hard time understanding why fusion rifles have such ridiculous range. Like one shot from 20+ feet away at full health. Aren't they basically energy shotguns? I shouldn't be one tapped by a fusion from someone outside of my hand cannons damage fall off range. They are far enough away for my hand cannon to do reduced damage, but not far enough away to one shot me at full health? My HC has rangefinder with a range masterwork also.

Crucible maps are very misleading. Many open lanes are not as long as players think. Exceptions do exist, like with Widow’s Court and Fortress.

Do u have to charge a shotgun to fire it?

1 ReplyThis is why people who can barely play pvp shouldn’t influence pvp decisions boys.

4 RepliesShotguns should have the same range as snipers

6 RepliesEdited by Soupreem: 1/15/2022 7:47:23 PM6 meters for something that has way less flexibility and needs, at least in most cases, a half second or more delayed trigger... Why not just advocate for the things to be removed? Might as well if they've only got 6 meters with nothing but downsides elsewhere. Also no non-linear Fusion isn't doing minimum damage after 25 meters. A maxed out HC isn't getting outranged by those.

And as much as I love Hand Cannons and Shotguns(used this D1 and I still love it), I do want all guns to be able to compete, which in this meta, all guns are viable. The only thing that needs dialing are a few outliers.

1 ReplyBecause in the special category. Shotty's are short range . And fusions were designed for mid range . Thats why. Otherwise fusions serve no roll.

I was using the one Xur is currently selling and I was honestly laughing while playing about how easy and effortless it was, even against good players. Ease of use definitely needs to be toned down, as well as a few meters of range. No fusion should be one tapping people at 18-20 meters, besides MAYBE the slowest charging/high impact ones

This flies in the face of the logic behind fusions.

4 RepliesUnfortunately, then you'd see a MASSIVE resurgence in the HC/Shotty meta. It would be nothing but Felwinter's as far as the eye can see, making it basically impossible to do much more than crouch in a corner and wait for the next person to rush through. Fusion rifles aren't the problem. No, really, they aren't. It's the perk pools for the weapons that are the problem. That and they're hit-scan weapons in the coding. I think the only non-linear fusion that has any kind of travel time is Jotun and that, thankfully, i haven't seen much outside of jerks in Iron Banner. When all is said and done, there is no pleasing everyone. No matter what changes, someone, somewhere, will gripe about the lates thing of the season.

7 Replieshmm, so a gun that's essentially a laser should have shotgun range...if you can't kill someone with a HC in the time it takes for even the fastest fusion rifle to charge then your problem is: stop standing still; they can't kill what they can't hit, and/or try a diff h/c. I find my best stat HCs aren't always the best for me - especially after HC's were nerf'd.
