Love this game but was sad to hear that bungies official stance is to never build d2 on a new engine or build d3 period. So what happens in 5 years when all the new games look next gen and d2 still looks the same. Yes d2 on ps5 was an improvement but not a next Gen improvement. So will d2 just get old and terrible eventually? Anyone have any insights or thoughts?

Todd Howard takes over Destiny. He releases Destiny: Special Edition each year with slight modifications.

I think it might be a case of reading too many internet snippets instead of paying attention to what's going on in the game though. As far as the "improvement" on PS5 relative to... what your standards seem to be? Beyond Light was a cross generational release so it kind of had to bridge new gen and old gen at the same time. I think Witch Queen will probably up the ante as far as the next gen goes. I will say though that people were ranting and raving over what the game looked like on PS5 when BL came out. I'm still on PS4 and the changes to this game since the end of last year are absolutely breathtaking so I'm kind of not understanding what you are talking about tbh. I don't know if its because you don't play it everyday or what but I'm honestly really confused by this post right now because the transformation of this game since last year on PS4, not even next gen, is something I'll probably remember for the rest of my gaming days. One of the coolest parts about it was the level they took the stuff that was already in the game to. Seeing something happen that you don't think is physically possible is always a treat.

It’s already old and terrible. In 5 years nobody will be thinking about this game, like the 20+ million that was smart enough to already have left
