  • Usage, because it was used a lot it got nerfed. Kind of lock ttd warlocks. You guys can't be happy with one nerf and be mad at the other. You guys literally justified the usage= nerf philosophy after that one podcast with the sandbox team. You all can lay in the bed you've made. Usage = nerf. Literally your fault that Bungie took that road. (why?) WELL, many nerf posts before and up to now include usage stats as a reason it should be nerfed- bungie does in fact listen to you guys- and when the outcry for one thing goes they cave. (Stasis remember?). Bungie decided to apply this one shoe fits all to all things now and not just glaring issues. I stopped playing cause this community cannot make up its mind. I've seen the same people want something nerfed THEN [b][u]COMPLAIN ABOUT THE NERFS. (THEYLL EVEN SAY THE NERF WASNT NECESSARY). SADLY DUE TO NAME AND SHAME I CANT GIVE OUT THEIR PROFILES.[/u][/b] I KNOW you yourself probably didn't do it, but, the others did. Because butthurt guardians decided to start this train rolling now, everyone else gets to suffer. Because butthurt try hard elitist guardians want to make this game a job for you- everyone else gets to suffer because of their fragile effing egos. Xenophage is just one of the many good things that get to suffer because butthurt guardians that [b][u]BUNGIE LOVES TO LISTEN TO[/u][/b] get their way the majority of the time.

      • Yea, the gun is in a bad spot right now. I understand trying to be safe cause of the machine gun buffs, but as usual they over balanced it doing that.

      • Does anyone else have their firing interrupted by a sudden delay for a couple of shots? Like the front half of the mag is consistent, but then I have to press the trigger a a couple of times to get it going again. It's absolutely not my controller as no other weapon has this problem

            • Every single destiny gun is either pre-nerfed or post-nerfed. None shall ever be powerful. Fortunately, not all games have this flawed philosophy.

            • At the start of the season I shot it once, took it outta my inventory and put in the vault. Heavy machine guns make no sense to me as they just received a buff. Yeah ok so they need another one. Pretty bad when 1 bullet of a hand cannon does more damage against a red bar add then one bullet of a heavy machine gun does, if heavy machine guns don't shine in red bar add clearing, where do they shine? Certainly not boss damage!

              • The RPM change made the gun feel awful. I don't even care that it got a damage buff (though overall dps potential is worse now). It just feels like a broken weapon and will stay in my vault till the RPM change is either reverted or changed to feel better.

              • Deleted it and moved over to the sleeper or vex. No point in using the xeno now with the artifact mods…unless they give it anti barrier then I’ll use it:

First i will start with the truth, which is it got only two true buffs 1. A total damage increase if you shoot every round in mag and reserve. 2. The total damage increase makes it so you save 4-5 bullets in total (mag and reserves included) on average compared to the old version. However everything else was nerfed, that includes in pvp. It does benefit from the damage-per-bullet buff to Machine Guns, but now has slower rate of fire to compensate, resulting in slightly lower damage per second, but higher burst damage and sustained damage (since it's now more ammo efficient).  Reduced rate of fire from 120 to 90 RPM.  Receives less of the Machine Gun PvE damage buff.  [/quote] In the this quote it says that it will benefit from the buff, but no where does it state that pvp is included. No does it change the language to imply it either. So the above buffs it did get as mentioned is only in pve. Now on to the math. But first a clarifying statement. Because the reload speed was not touched. That means when comparing burst to sustained, you can make the same generalization. math: (X=100) you can substitute any number with X. X×120=pre change (X+(X×20%))×90=post change Now take 120÷60=2 For rps instead of rpm so we get dps. 90÷60=1.5 Now multiply by 2 so we can work with whole numbers to make things easier. 2×2=4 2×1.5=3 So in two seconds pre shoots 4 shots post shoots 3. Now to solve. Using 100 as damage because it makes things easier to follow. 100×4=400 (100+(100×.2))×90=360 It is pretty obvious that post is worse but now to find out by how much. 400-360=40 40÷400=.10 .10=10% So it is a 10% dps nerf. Also this is best case because this is only in pve. Not pvp where it gets no bonus damage. Also if some smooth brain tries to tell me the burst got increased, the math above is for burst dps. And because reload speed is the same you can eliminate it from the equation, so it is also the sustained dps math.[/quote]

                    • It didn't get nerfed, it benefited from the 20%, machine gun buff. They reduced the DPS slightly but it has a better sustained/ total damage output. Against bosses like atheon it's a straight up buff
