Welcome Dear Reader, To what I assume will be a very messy draft of a post, so please bear with me 🙂 We are Hot Tub Timeworn Streams (name is subject to change), the upcoming home of Dank Memes, Broken Dreams and Hot Tub Streams! We are starting this clan with the hopes of creating a safe and inclusive environment for all members. Whilst we are starting as a Destiny clan, with some growth we would like to expand to other games and perhaps even outside of gaming as a whole (e.g. movie nights or other socials). Sounds ambitious doesn’t it? And it begs the question, “where would you even start with something like this?” Well, funnily enough, it all starts with you. Yes, you, the person hopefully reading this humble forum post. If you’re a bit of a Destiny fanatic or consider yourself somewhat of a gamer, we’d love to have a chat. Doesn’t matter if you’re just starting out or a bonafide veteran, we’re excited to get you started on your journey or play a part in your’s. With all that said, what are we looking for in potential members? ~ Be yourself: Bring your strengths to the table. Your skills, your passion, your knowledge, your humour, whatever you do best, let it shine. ~ Be respectful: Remember that not everyone shares the same worldview, culture or experiences as you. We want to promote inclusivity. It’s ok to disagree, debate or discuss, but keep an open mind and try to approach with a, “there are no wrong answers” attitude. ~ Try to engage: The social side of a clan is what makes it fun. It’s a great experience to get to know people who support, elevate or challenge you to grow. Even for introverts like some of us are, it provides an opportunity to socially develop. Give it a go! Engagement isn’t strictly limited to Destiny. ~ Have a go: Whilst we won’t push anyone out of their comfort zones, we do encourage you to have a go. A new goal, a new challenge, a new experience, whatever it is... ~ 18+: Whilst we know you can’t adjust your age slider in reality, we do have to include this as a prerequisite to join. Partially for maturity purposes, and partially for NSFW banter, we will only accept members of 18 years age or older, no exceptions. ~ PS4/5 preferred: Until we see how cross-play works, the PS systems will be preferred. However, if the transition is smooth and communication (party chats, messaging) works well, we will happily welcome Xbox and PC members. ~AU / NZ preferred: Not a requirement, but purely for timezone purposes and engaging in events / activities, members from AU / NZ are preferred. Those outside of these regions are still welcome as long as they are able to maintain some level of engagement with clan members. These are just the basics, a full set of rules and guidelines will be available in the clan Discord once we get things set up.
