Bungie are you going to address the drop rate for the vex mythoclast?
Literally run this raid every week 3x for 3 months. This is getting so ridiculous now, clearly the so called bad luck protection is broken. You can see it all over reddit that people are not happy that the vex still isn't dropping even having done every clear they can for a chance for it to drop an still nothing. Then means that they can't get the raid title. Clearly RNG is just not working for raid exotics there needs to be a generated drop after a certain amount of clears.

Agreed! Common Bungie. Thats not fair. I have 64 clears and nothing. I new clan member that we carry got rhe Mythoclast in the 2nd run. THATS NOT FAIR!!

4 RepliesI don’t get why people can’t accept that a gun is rare. You’re never going to use it after a couple of hours using it because like you and everyone else, you’re gonna go back to the same meta slavey setups right after you get it. Ask yourself this. If you [i]do[/i] get the mythoclast, are you going to implement it into your raid load out from here on out? You seem to imply you want to because you seem to clearly care about getting the gun, but as history has shown us in this game, people will never stray away from the meta.

3 RepliesBut RNG is working, it's keeping a ton of people who would be done with the content by now around chasing the golden gun. Fun numbers, if you ran the raid 3x since launch and the drop rate was 5% there's a cumulative 11.6% chance of NOT getting the gun by now. That's with zero loot protection. It's the only possible way so many of you raid grinders still don't have the gun. There's no protection. Will they pull another "oops", or will they finally state that they never said there was loot protection on this one? Eventually they'll have to do one or the other. There's too much data out there now for them to keep hiding behind the RNG and letting people guess.

6 RepliesIt has protection but it only increases by 0.5% per run the same as its base drop chance eyes had a 5% drop chance and it increases by 5% per clear it increases by the weapons base drop chance which for vex sucks because its so low

Last I checked, the people who still play VoG religiously are usually just farming Templar and then cashing out on Master Atheon's Timelost box. Or if they are just farming Vex; scumming Atheon checkpoints. Not sure they're enjoying the raid very much at that point. Much like the people who farmed Security in DSC just to cash out of Shanik's Box.

They literally just ignore, surpress, and shit on anyone who criticizes anything about the game there. Bungie never acknowledges anything except to let you know they're shits "broken" and that they've "fixed" it 4 months later, without giving any elaboration or explanation on how any of their shit actually works. Can't wait to hear that they've been shitting on me again in 3 months. Not to mention that the less someone plays, the higher the drop rate it, which is becoming more and more believable. Could probably tie in how much silver someone buys into that equation for an extra bonus.

See I want to raid and get Vex, but stories like this just make me not want to waste the time on it. Especially with Vog where everything of value drops within the first 3 encounters and can be farmed. Vex is literally the only reason I would bust ass to fight Atheon. Aside from that I'd just farm Templar until I had everything I needed and then piss off. The catalyst would be the only thing worth going back for.

I gave up halfway through the season when i lost interest in playing again. Sucks too because i love the look of it and im never going to find a group to do the catalyst with.

THIS. So ridiculous. Same here, 3 runs each week (except the first one) and still hasn’t dropped… That’s a problem in itself but I haven’t seen but drop even once for someone else either!!!!

I honestly believe this wouldn't be as frustrating for certain people if a weekly limit on looted runs wasn't a thing.

I'm right there with ya. I've ran it 3x a week since launch. No vex. I have 58 clears in total with helping people and have only saw 3 drop. I've completed master 9 times and have never saw it drop for anyone in there. You'd think bare minimum master would increase your drop chance by 50% but that's sadly not the case. Kind of a shame since there really is no reason to run master besides the title (which you cannot get without vex) and adept fate bringer. It's also pretty crummy that the catalyst is tied to an activity inside of the raid that you cannot do solo. It won't be long before people no longer want to do the stuff for the catalyst.

Once you hit 240 spoils you should be able to buy it that's still over 20 completions
