Banning Without Reason or Explanation Needs to Go

As the title says banning players without reason or explanation needs to go. People spend their time and money on the game, and if you want to ban them then the player should at least be made aware of why they were banned. I've already submitted an appeal ticket so please don't give me the canned message about how appeals can't be overturned in this forum. Before you all start in with how cheaters know they are cheating and that sort of thing if you search these forums you can find instances where people were suddenly banned without warning or explanation and come here asking for help. I recently found myself in this position, and it is very frustrating. I understand the viewpoint that you don't want to go into detail about how you catch cheaters and that sort of thing so as not to give cheaters a leg up, but you can at least give players some insight into why they were banned. For example, you broke the coc or tos, you were caught changing game code or using a cheating program. Anything is better than not responding to people's tickets. I have never broken the tos or coc. I have never attempted to cheat at this game in any way. I got permanently banned out of the blue while playing a match of override. Does anybody try to cheat at override? It's a fairly straight forward not difficult game mode. I could understand if I was dominating trials or something, but override? In talking to friends that play the game the only thing that I can figure out is that I was banned because cheatengine.exe existed in my process list. I use it for offline single player games. Judge me for that if you want, but single player games are individual experiences that I can experience however I want. Having cheatengine is not against the tos. Attempting to change game code is. The process existing is not evidence of attempting to cheat. Please pull packet capture as evidence of something malicious instead of using the process as evidence and permanently banning someone. If it's not related to that then I have no idea. If you are concerned that the process just existing will allow people to cheat in some way then don't allow the game to be launched while the process exists. That is 100% a doable thing. If you think I am in fact a cheater that came here to whine then please take a look at my profile. You can find out pretty quickly that I'm a middling caliber player who plays (played) Destiny to have a good time with friends. Bungie staff can you please to do better about this.

    • Unfortunately, as stated, the forums cannot assist in getting an appeal or answers to your questions. If you have filed the appeal that is all that can be done at this time.

      • Yes..having cheats for other games running while d2 is running can get you banned. Apps like ce when running will still try to obtain values and whatnot of games even if you are not actively trying to cheat. You are not the first banned for ce and probably won't be the last
