No way, as you said this game is not competitive, the radar is fine the way it is. The movement is way too fast not to have the radar as players can close gaps way too quickly and get into shotgun range The maps are mostly cqc, another reason the radar makes sense And then you have exotics like knucklehead radar that would need to be completely reworked. Or even classes like nightstalker that have enhanced radar On top of all that, the verticality in this game would be the biggest issue with no radar. Overall, just a terrible idea And let’s not forget all the map exploits and cheeses that the streamers love to abuse. Imagine that + no radar

I am asking for a slight radar range decrease, right now there is 3 distances pinged on radar. The outside circle, the wedge/segments and the the centre circle where your guardian is located. I think adjusting it so that the outside circle becomes what is currently the higher-range end of the wedge would be better. Most of the time you get radar pings currently is just a brief spot on the outside circle which in my opinion reinforces the point that the radar's outside ring detection distance is far too long. (This was really hard to articulate I hope you can visualise what I mean on the radar stuff LOL) The maps being mostly cqc makes sense for the radar to have absurd range spanning over half of the maps? I'm struggling to understand that point. Nightstalker wouldn't necessarily need a rework if the same changes were applied. If the range was the same as a normal radar, it just had more wedges/segments for directional precision not increased range that seems completely fine to me. Night stalker having a slightly superior radar in terms of precision of the wedges isn’t an issue in my opinion as long as the range is the same as other classes. If anything that tree needs more incentive for people to play it currently as is. I agree verticality would be a huge issue with no radar, your whole comment seems to be arguing against having no radar at all, which I completely agree with. In my original post I have openly explained that I am against no radar, it was tried out and didn't work out in practice. I'm not saying remove the radar as I think that's a bad idea, I'd just like to see the current version with decreased range.

I get what you’re saying about toning down the radar but in my experience the radar is inconsistent as is Too many times it barely flashes red and the next thing I know I got 2 or 3 players stuffing a shotty in my face I like the idea of flanking and catching players off guard, but the reality is that teamshotting is the meta. I suck at it, I hate teamshooting. But the radar is not the problem. It wasn’t a problem in D1 even though radar was always present on primaries even when ADS The problem is the playerbase, we have a bunch of garbage players spamming abilities and the cheesiest weapons possible. It’s not a radar issue
