The obsidian Blade (exotic sword)
This is an Exotic Heavy Sword made from pure darkness. The blade is black and looks as though it’s obsidian.
[u]Exotic perk[/u]: [b][i]”Eternal Night”[/i][/b] send out an AOE blast of darkness that suppresses nearby enemies and temporarily shrouds the blade with a dark aura that boosts damage.
[u]Exotic Trait[/u]: [b][i]”Dark Entropy”[/i][/b] Suppressed enemies that are killed return Health and ammo to the wielder.
Catalyst: suppressed enemies slain by this sword explode with darkness that spreads to other nearby enemies. This extends the [i]”Eternal Night”[/i] perk.
Edit:
- Heavy Attack is the AOE Blast, which suppresses enemies and empowers your light attacks.
- if the blade is empowered and enemies are suppressed, only then will you get health and ammo returned back to you.
- the blast itself could consume 8 sword ammo, and perhaps you could make it so that killing 2 or more enemies while the blade is empowered returns 1 sword ammo back to make it balanced.
- maybe instead of getting immediate health back per kill, you instead get a boost in health regen.

I just mean it's appearance the perks are explained quite well I like the obsidian idea

6 RepliesI don't want to be that guy... But we don't necessarily have pure darkness yet. We haven't even seen it yet. All we have seen is stasis, which is a aspect of the darkness.

1 ReplyThe catalyst is really what breaks this. Ammo refund is also crazy, it'd be more reasonable if it returned sword charge and the catalyst was changed to a flat +20 charge rate.

Interesting weapon, seems a tad bit OP. I could see certain perks being changed or turned off in pvp for balancing reasons.

1 ReplyAoE, suppression, ammo regen, health regen, crowd control... WAY too overloaded. You could split these traits and make three different exotic swords out of it. Makes Wordline and Black Talon look like jokes.
