What Trials Needs

Trials needs significant changes focused on encouraging players to play the game mode and stay in the game mode. These changes need to focus on availability, loot/reward vs time spent, and of course, enjoyment. In case anyone doesn't know, more players in the mode = greater chance to go flawless for everyone. Here are my proposed changes: 1. Optional matchmaking with the option for teams to vote to stay together; 2. Chance of post match loot from every match (chance increases with wins on card); 3. More tokens from wins and losses (also increases more with wins on card); 4. Repeatable bounties that drop more tokens, gear, or both. Repeatables drop 5 tokens and daily bounties drop Trials loot; 5. No lockout for tokens. (Everyone should be able to turn in what they earn. Period.); 6. Crack down on recovs, win trading, and cheating; 7. Removal of third person peeking; 8. In-game LFG; 9. A way to focus the loot you're chasing, much like umbrals or the raid chest in DSC; and 10. Balance Stasis. Let me know what you think. [spoiler]I know people are gonna ask, but main reason why I don't think Flawless players should be in their own bracket is because that would be actively punishing them for playing well, make Flawless mean less, and completely destroy the meaning of an open tournament, which is exactly what Trials is. They would end up in their own, significantly more difficult bracket with no increased incentive while everyone else eventually got Flawless by Monday. That change is a huge step backwards and is focused on just making flawless obtainable rather than getting players to play and enjoy the mode. Cause once the players who can't go fawless now go flawless after this change, what are they gonna do? Leave. That's it. They'll leave. Which just leaves the rest of the players in the exact same position they are now. [/spoiler]

  • Make it a 1v1 game type so everyone can play, change it up

  • Simple remove it because its a old game mode that most of the community find boring

    • I mean flawless players should definitely get moved to a different Playlist or not be able to farm flawless loot. That should be the incentive for flawless players to go into the other playlist.if ot were back to the d1 days u only got 3 shots at the flawless reward all week, but people still played after flawless. U know why they played after flawless on their flawless cards because there were some cool rewards and there was no reason to reset, unless u were carrying. Give the scarab emblem back, make the ship sparrow and flawless shader all random drops on flawless cards only and only make the flawless reward farmable in the flawless Playlist. So simple and a much healthier trials Playlist overall.

      • When you have to completely redesign a piece of content in order to get it to work? That's usually a sign that you need to take it out of the game, and start all over.

        Just don’t see 1,6 or 7 happening. Games 1-3/1-4 should be rewarding and an invitation to everyone—casual or hardcore— to get some sweet loot. The back half of the card should ramp up as you face better teams with a trip to the LH on the line.

      • a rank tier system. championship system lasting monthly or longer. each week climb up or down the rank. rewards delivered at end of final weekend based on position/rank. each rank warrents a certain number of packages(of varied value).

      • I think (5) was a Glitch and 6/7 are Near to undoable. Everything else is Doable.
