Where does all the money and resources go to?
Edit: This season is solid so far. I am fond of this obsessive hobby. This was an inquiry as to what the intention was going forward. Today's Dead Man's Tale mission was dope and the team is of course extremely talented.
This was my response for the re-issued weapons I found myself attempting to reacquire from 2 year old, unchanged activities.
I explained further what I have been looking for down below. Sorry for the novel. This was a particularly interesting exotic mission for me, another amazing one off. Even if I want random rolls. I still love the game and I'm glad our investment gives us amazing content like this. Not monotonous, tedious action for things I already previously enjoyed having. And the teams talent is apparent. Thank you.
I wouldn't make such posts if I wasn't passionate about the game. We are all aware the game is Bungie's to do with what they will. And I love it. That's why I'm asking.

5 RepliesTell that to games like Warcraft, Diablo, Warframe, Monster Hunter World, etc. Plenty of games throw you for an endless grind, not just Destiny. Grindy games aren’t for everyone 🤷♂️

73 RepliesWhat? The TEN DOLLARS you're giving Bungie for this? How far did you expect it to go in creating new content for a Triple A game?

Edited by mixitup1: 2/14/2021 2:48:28 AMThere’s nothing of value in this game anymore. For the hardcore daily player everything is virtually complete, we have rinsed the game dry, Bungie have removed half the game and replaced it with lack lustre seasonal content which is poor at best with battlegrounds. Once you’ve done all the raids, strikes, NF, dungeons, pvp and gambit, got the weapons the armour etc all maxed what is there to do, grinded the majority of seals for some purple above your head then what? Farm for a god roll weapon that will be sunsetted in 6 months. It’s lack lustre lacking in anything of value. Redrix was a grind and that got sunsetted but they’ve brought it back Messenger in Trials wtf? Buff fusions, nerf snipers, no new maps even in PvP or gambit. For the day 1 player this game has become stale. Did I mention stasis 😂😂

I am genuinely asking how things are allocated. I mostly just want to know if maps are coming to Crucible that have consideration for the new environment produced by the abilities present in the game. The fact that some matches have 6v6. Cause it seems like in an effort to please everyone, you're pissing everyone off. Convergence takes too long to return to B upon death. And the Dreaming City map felt like parts of it were unused unless running a wide flank to split the enemy team. But these are almost preferred to maps that are too small for the number of people running about. But I enjoy the current primary sandbox a lot more than any of it's preceding iterations. Gunplay feels nice. And I love Stasis! I want Destiny to continue to marry PvE and PvP, but with mostly seperate sandboxes. I believe the Battlegrounds do feel a lot more like participating in the insurmountable odds I'd assume were applicable to war. More so than the earlier narrative and gameplay. But so much of PvE feels like a cobbled together Frankenstein monster. I am glad more of our main adversaries/allies are getting voices. But still, it feels uninspired and repetitive or like distant islands we visit at times with a vast ocean in between. I think this game is at its best when the story isn't understood just by reading the lore or listening to Byf. Though I appreciate his videos and the foundations of Destiny. You have excellent voice actors on-board and an extremely talented team. I want to return to some of the atmospheres previously produced. And not just a return to old raids. If you are not concerned with PvP beyond nerfs and buffs to maintain the meta of the season, really go all in on the PvE. If it is a live game, let the game feel more ALIVE. So much of the game is breathtakingly gorgeous and plays like no other... But areas aren't populated like we are on the brink of collapse from enemy factions on all sides... occupying our very gates. In the darkest portions of the game I don't feel the danger of my Light being snuffed out, and if I do, it's probably artificially produced. Not a challenge to overcome with my friends. Wheres the spookiness of parts of Dark Below. Where's the expansive, larger than life feeling of the Dreadnaught's interior. Shadowkeep's gothic cathedral deserved more than the strike and a dungeon. The effort to make us go back to see these places with seasonal content is the right direction, but still feels shallow. Half-baked. Like Xivu making us walk through Savathun's work still operating in the dreaming city like Hawthorne's dialogue. Sometimes the Guardian is sent out to handle 30 Fallen as they pour out in the exact same pattern from a shallow cave. Other times we slay false gods. More endgame when we arrive at power, less slog like we are all new lights. Re-issuing is an insult. PvP matchmaking has been awful for too long now. Targeted legendary loot shouldn't be such a pain in the ass to make happen. Greater incentivize the more average player to participate in Trials and be committed to finding varying levels of success with their clanmates. Like making the old seasons gear legendary drops for being in the playlist and the new things committed to the win tiers. Braytech Menagerie with weapon blueprints for hyper-targeted loot. Build upon some of our previous quests and exploits so they feel less like one offs and more like we are impacting the world about us. With goals and mile markers to achieve with bigger pay offs than single exotics that may just be vaulted anyway. More ideas around synergistic gear sets without them belonging to a core activity people are gonna feel upset about losing. Something. Content. Stuff. Meat and potatoes.

Endless grind isn't content
To be fair that is your point of view. I enjoy having to level up each 3 months. I would be pretty bored being max level in 2 months for 10 months longer.
