Crucible needs some help
Since crucible is such an essential part of endgame, it would be helpful to have some improvement there. I have played through both iron banners and all weekly bounties with all characters in this season, and my feedback is that the teams are typically very unbalanced, plenty of games with mercy with sometime very nasty difference of 90 - 15 or so, although most commonly it is 90 - 30 ish, and the team I am playing with has below 1 efficiency for most players. I play exclusively solo que, but I say the team I am playing with, because this season my win rate is 16% (KDA is 1.29). Despite the fact that there is connection based match making, this is a bit against the odds.

Im getting nothing but stasis filled, camping, lag fests. Just played a few hours of clash and I lost count of how many teleporting wizards whose death was full seconds after I actually downed them. Love a hunter that not only lags but shatter dives into you while lagging makes it even more lovely. PvP is the worst state I think since d2 year 1...... Oh and love the fact that clash games always go to timer and not score gotta keep that KD and win loss ratio up I guess

Stasis subclass ruined PvP for me especially...I’m pretty sure anyone that got frozen from stasis has broken out of it & is still stuck in the animation of being frozen & getting team shot 24/7...

1 Replymatchmaking is -blam!-ing horrible. Destiny has got to have some of the biggest blueberries of any PvP game.. I've had teammates clearly functioning on one brain cell.. they are sadly the majority.

Hunter is ridiculous you give them the most overpowered melee of all the classes. It’s ridiculous. Never seen a Melee take out Supers that easy. That is the most disappointing thing about bunnies sold called balance.

3 RepliesHeres my opinion on how to fix crucible tbh, just a rough idea - Add Dedicated Servers, then SBMM and CBMM will properly work. - Stop with the shitty team balancing, seriously, why the hell am I facing Panduh in a 6 stack while I get 5 little joey's who just started the game. -Tune Stasis down just a bit, yes PvP is about gunplay and abilities, but stasis feels just a little too much, especially that hunter smash and that titan slide. -Fix 120 handcannons, at least on PC, in no way should I be out gunning a jade rabbit in a scout rifles intended range -Add more loot for Competitive, more pinnacles, emblems, shaders, ships, sparrows, armor, anything. Unbroken and sunset weapons has no incentive right now. And this goes for the main PvP modes too.

Regular IB: you see a lot of clans or stacks but if you join solo you might be able to help a clan, matches usually don't get mercies very often, and I found that a lot of matches were fairly even. Freelance IB: everyone is solo, so it brings in most new and solo players. High level PVP players also know this and go there to farm easy kills and easy wins, expect a ton of mercy matches. Freelance would be better for new guys if it also got SBMM, my advice is play regular IB.

CBMM doesn't work, to quote someone else on this forum "you asked for CBMM, now it's plagued with Chinese players with U.S. and European VPN's, enjoy". Or as I like to call them "rubber bandits". The only fix is dedicated servers and that ain't happening any time soon plus Bungie turn the deaf ear when anyone says anything about PvP.

Crucible feels bad, Iron Banner feels worse, it's like pulling teeth out. Golden's list there is a good start but it's in more ways than I can count or articulate the PvP in this game just feels horrible, sad because it used to be my favorite part of the game back in D1 but I have come to the realization that it is just find a new game to enjoy PvP wise because Destiny 2 is just never going to hit that mark, best to just stick to PvE content within destiny because it's just not fun... like at all...

1,46 overall KD, 2,36 seasonal KDA and 13% winrate Playing mainly Playlist with randoms for weekly stuff or iron banner. Not really into pvp. Team balancing is garbage, spawns are garbage This game make me despair my teammates more than LOL. And not only in pvp but pve as well

I was at a 2.6 kda and still only had a 20% win rate. You just get unlucky sometimes.

2 RepliesYou get killed by a guy in his super then you respawn right by him again you get killed a second time by same guy. This is coded so you can get revenge but doesn't work out ever. Stupid stuff like this makes me want to quit game.

I would go even further than ‘needs some help’ the crucible is shit now . My win rate in iron. Amber was 11% . Didn’t think it could be that low , considering. As a freelance it was 55% pre stasis . but between getting frozen everywhere from other sides of walls to opposite side of map , to shots not working through stasis fields to bullets going right through walls to the problems you mentioned it’s not that fun anymore , I may even just quit

I was playing IB with friend last night and hadn't used statis except for 1 match. The one match I had a 1.62KDA. The other matches were so negative that you'd think I've never played a shooter in my life. I am the very definition of your average 0.9 - 1.04 player. However, the last two iron banners, I don't remember more than 3 games getting above 1.00. Seasons 9 and 10 were great. Season 11 was ok as well. PvP now is like getting a root canal without any anesthesia whatsoever. Since players of anyone other than the top 20 percent have left, the 50th percentile feels like the bottom 5 percent.

6 RepliesI agree with most of this except for one thing. Crucible is in no way, shape, or form essential to the end game of Destiny. It could be removed and wouldn't affect the end-game in the least. I wish it were more balanced, fair, and fun, and I miss the days of Destiny 1 crucible, but it is not an essential part of this game. Sucks, but it's true.

Freelance IB desperately needs some sort of lobby balancing. Enemy team all shares a brain, while my team constantly hip fires auto rifles at the wall. Get to work, Bungie.
