Divinity and Precision Damage

A clanmate and I have been testing out various weapons on Kalli in the Last Wish to get some numbers on potential DPS weapons for raiding. I brought along my Divinity to make precision hits more consistent. We landed on Leviathan’s Breath and he noticed that while I was reloading and my Divinty bubble was gone that his precision damage was SIGNIFICANTLY higher without the bubble. This discovery prompted us to re-test every weapon. The re-testing proved that the Divinity bubble was in fact REDUCING the precision damage of weapons by about 35%. I’m hoping that this can be addressed in some way. Is this intentional? Is Kalli a special case scenario for this? I believe the community-at-large deserves to know what is happening here. It is worth noting that this specifically applies to PRECISION damage. Non-precision damage like Xenophage and Anarchy are increased like they should be. I’m not capable of provided video evidence of this and hope that someone else is able to (easily) replicate this in a video.

  • I think it's Kali. iirc they have some innate bonus to precision damage that Div overrides

Divinity doesn't exactly give you a crit damage bubble. It acts as if you are hitting a crit which is why perks like triple tap work but its more of a 35% debuff. The reason it pairs with xeno and 1k voices so much is because you're not losing out on any damage from hitting crits considering these weapons do no crit damage. I was told hitting the bosses crit spot while Divinity was up does more damage but I'm not certain on that. Divinity overall helps all players shoot at a single stationary spot thats more accessible then just trying to hit a moving target.

  • Was divinity-crit damage higher than body shot damage?
