Guardian Stories B1, House of Witches. Part 4 Operation Blue Moon.

Akain, Adam and Yuri waited next to Adam's ship, a long winged ship ship had just came in to the ship storage it was slowly descending to the ground landing gear ready. A second ship much thicker with small wings and big jet engines followed it in the open hanger doors, it preparing to park along side the first. So what do we know these Guardians Violin and Robert? Yuri asked her competitive side showing even though they were supposed to be a team. Viola and Robert, Adam corrected her. Viola is experienced with strike missions, she made a name for herself for aggressive ambushes on Cabal supplies during the Red War. Even lightless she was seen as a credible threat, a true Titan, defending the citizens of the Last City in hiding. Adam spoke highly of her, he to fought in the Red War as well, ambushing scouting Red Legion forces. Akain knew this because he helped plan these ambushes, he also knew that Adam respected true Titans like himself. What of this other Guardian, Robert? Akain asked, he had tried to find information about this Guardian but came up with very little, other than some ties to Dead Orbit. It was hard to find information about there members if they didn't want it for everyone to see. Adam gave a knowing glance to Akain. Not much other than he was eager to volunteer to help the Vanguard with a dangerous mission. Nothing wrong with that? Sounds very Titan of him though, seeing that he is a Warlock. Yuri stated, they could see him taking equipment from his ship preparing himself. Viola was walking towards them, she towered over Akain, she was even taller than Adam by half a foot. She was kitted in full plate armour from head to toe. Akain thought she looked a bit like an old fashioned knight in armour. Reporting in and mission ready, Viola said giving a crisp solute. Adam smiled, not used to seeing a Guardian act so proper. He raised his hand out to shake hers, It's great to meet such a renown fighter as yourself, Adam spoke to her. She somewhat relaxed and shook Adams hand. Likewise, I take it this is our fireteam, Viola spoke, giving a nod to each Akain and Yuri. Yuri looked like she was going to say something, maybe to put Viola in her place. But Viola stood nearly double her size and triple her muscle mass, insults weren't going to get to her, neither were bullets by the look of it. Robert came walked over to them, joining the group, he was tall as well, but slender. His eyes glancing at them each in turn, measuring them up, he stopped at Akain for a second longer. Are you sure he's ready for this? Robert said in a patronising way, still looking at Akain, probably seeing his less than optimal gear. Adam with his full confidence said back, more than any of us. You's will reporting to me, but he really knows how we are going to win this. Akain stood a bit straighter, he was touched by Adam's words. Right, with everyone here but the Hive Specialist we are to head to the debriefing room, the Vanguard will be giving us reconnaissance about our mission and we depart in thirty minutes, lets go. Adam stated to all of them, then turning on his heel and begin to was towards the stairs to the Tower Courtyard and then the Debriefing room. Less than ten minutes later they entered the debriefing room, Ikora, Zavalla and another Guardian hunter Akain didn't recognise stood there. Guardians, Commander Zavalla started in his normal deep voice. This is Shaw Han, who soon will be helping our effort to continue constant patrols in the Cosmodrome as of tomorrow. But before resuming patrols, we have a mission for you, recently Guardian Shaw scouted a ruin of a Fallen Ketch east of the patrol zone, nearly forty kilometres east, where both Fallen and Hive have been sighted working together. I do not need to tell you how dire the situation may become. With the Hive and Fallen working as one they may become a sizeable force, enough to become a threat to our City. The last thing we need is for the Darkness to get there hands involved in this or for Savathun to take advantage of the situation. We are providing you maps of the surrounding area and we want you to find out who is leader of the alliance, entry points, weak points and any information on what Fallen houses have joined. Once you have completed this report back and we will send in a raid team to dispose of this abomination. Good luck Guardians. After a few minutes of of collecting the maps and further information. Akain had one question. Commander Zavalla? Akain asked slightly nervous. Zavalla looked at him, there was no displease in his eyes there was when they had last argued, it had been replaced with a tiredness or signs of despair. The news about what the Darkness had done must be still fresh for them to. Go on Guardian, Zavalla spoke back. Akain took a deep breath to calm himself. The Hive from our studies have always been a waring, uncaring species and they have always been completely unnegotiable to any of the races, even our enemies, it is said that it is there desire to only destroy and conquer. How is this even possible? There was a few seconds of silence, before Zavalla replied slowly. We do not know. They were boarding there ships, Akain and Adam to the ship storage as Akain had been given recon notes and maps which he was going to look through on there journey to the rendezvous point. They hadn't said a word since leaving the debriefing room, there nerves building, realising the risk and the importance of the mission. Akain wanted to say something to Adam, like how Adam always cheered him up if they had lost in crucible or if the clan leader told him off for his inactivity. But without even saying anything, Adam said. This is big, big enough that we actually contribute to a raid, Imagine that! What if we actually helped the Hero of the Last City, hell! What happens if we meet him! He sounded childish, but it made Akain smile and that was exactly what he need to hear right now. As the ship took off from the ship storage, Akain looked out the window to get a glimpse of the Traveler. It sat there, perfectly still, watching over them, once we are done I think I'll go apologise to Zavalla about before, he thought to himself. After all we need to stand together right now more than ever. Writers Note: I have been really enjoying this so far and a big shout out to KS27 for your support, I have a plan for the story, there will be three main parts I think. This being the end of the first main part, the introduction and setting up the story. These are not based on anyone or my own Guardian, it's just what I think life like a Guardian might be like for anyone who isn't the Hero of the Last City. Thanks for reading, more soon.
