I loved how balanced everything felt back in year 1 of D2, I do like the faster-paced PvP now aside from the matchmaking and meta problems, but I loved the older version too. So why not have a completely separate playlist for that old PvP, primaries and heavy weapons only, slowed down with slower TTKs back to how they were back in the Beta and year 1. Idk how much work it would be to actually do that but I think that would be really cool to have both sandboxes in the same game. I remember the trials previews where y'all at Bungie showed that you were playing with TTKs specifically in that one playlist, so you could just do the same thing for this, as for the weapons required, you already do it with locked loadouts and having only 1 exotic at a time. So implement similar rules so that you can't use any special weapons, only primary and heavy weapons, special weapons would be locked for that specific playlist. If y'all at Bungie could do this, I think you would open up the D2 PvP to alot more of the player base that liked it more when it was like that. Just an idea but I think it would be awsome and add a lot of variety to the PvP experiance.
