I occasionally encounter vanilla D2 scannables I haven't seen before, indicated by the ghost icon appearing in the upper right corner. I took out my ghost ("nav mode") to find the scannable object. When I got close the "investigate" prompt appeared in the middle of the screen. However, when I tried to investigate I summoned my sparrow instead. In the past, the investigate prompt would take precedence, but now the sparrow does instead. I had to put my ghost away in order to investigate. I'm on a PS4 with default control layout, so investigate and sparrow-summon are both on square button. The specific scannable object I encountered this with was on Titan, The Rig, a control panel near the entrance to DS Quarters-2 lost sector behind the witches' ritual.
