Mountaintop quest
Not been funny Bungie but not everyone is good enough to get this I’ve been at it for weeks may be even months and I’m still getting hardly any progress I thought the game was meant to be fun and enjoyable but PvP is neither fun or enjoyable in fact it’s the opposite it’s annoying, hard and frustrating to the point I hate the game mode wish I never had to play it but only play for the gear it gives me if I could I would never play PvP

Thats why its called a Pinnacle PvP reward. You should have tried getting lunas when it came out comp was full of handcannons

12 RepliesWell try doing it when it was the hardest like me and others. They nerf the quest to make it a bit easier and you still complain. You don't deserve the weapon

2 RepliesOld pinnacle weapons were made as rewards for people who are good enough to get them. That's the case with mountaintop, Lunas, and recluse.

Do that kinda quests on momentum control.

I was about halfway through the quest and about to give up from boredom. Then Momentum Control came out and I took my Martyr's Retribution and Colony into it. I finished what had taken me months in about 4 hours.

Just wait until momentum control and use the new exotic grenade launcher Ull be fine

Do the game mode where everything deals more damage, bring a special grenade launcher and the colony and once you have mutlikill done switch to fighting lion are your set

Maybe try go into lfg and look for a MT kill lobby or set one up. Lots of people are trying to get it👍

5 RepliesMomentum Control with Marty’s and Milita’s Birthright or the new GL should make the kill step much easier. Mayhem Clash with WoD and The Colony makes the Calculated Trajectory step a breeze.

This original quest was insane. Even after the nerf it was extremely grindy. It forces you to be locked into this archetype for too long. But here is the gist: Look up the cheese. Remembering correctly it's possible to get two participating teams to load into crucible and stop the clock. In control have two guardians contest the same zone which will give you unlimited time. The others farm kills. The zone holders rotate in. Cons: mindless, takes hours. Also getting 100 kills then allowing yourself to be farmed for 600 consecutive deaths will MURDER your kill death ratio (KD). This will reflect poorly on you for a year. Pros: can be done in an afternoon as opposed to many months to never. Let's you use different archetypes immediately in the crucible. No skill required just patience. After the nerf many people had lfg. Now it's too old. I suggest posting here in the forums "who is interested in MT cheese?". List pros vs cons as above and compile a list of interested parties. Friend them and organize a time. Probably take a few days but still faster than legitimately completing the quest. Maybe now many people will be interested since this will also advance the witherhoard catalyst quest. Anytime you can double up is good. Trust me - as someone who separately grinded PVP scout kills for the Jade rabbit catalyst, mida multi tool catalyst, and Randy's throwing knife quest...

When u get in a survival match ask the other team to let u kill them with a GL then leave the match once u complete the quest

I don’t want to be that guy but not every weapon is accessible for the casual community. It’s a pinnacle and you have to put effort into it, it took me a while to get the gun myself before they nerfed the quest line. If you really want to try and get the gun I would suggest momentum control like everyone is suggesting and Witherhoard, it’s probably going to be nerfed but the gun can do the job If you aim correctly and not spam it everywhere. I might be wrong on this but I believe comp yields more progress

12 RepliesI dont understand why this weapon was put behind a pvp pinnacle quest....its more of a pve weapon. And They said theyre supposed to put weapon quest with option of pve or pvp where did that go? The catalyst for the new grenade launcher requires you to play pvp🤷🏽🖕🏽

If you don't use a guide, you better be one hell of a PvP player that likes to play lots of PvP. If this game is too grindy, it might not be for you anymore. Bungie has already stated that they are leaning towards the hobbiest/hardcore crowd.

I'm planning on doing the entire quest in Momentum Control. With CBMM it might go even faster (or take longer since I suck at pvp).
