Can you make losing less of a hit on glory points - gaining progress only to lose it all when you land in a team with herbs against pro players makes it infuriating. I don’t mind losing - but just make the point loss minor - like 5-10 points.

2 RepliesIt’s funny reading the elitist comments in this thread. They either don’t acknowledge that gaining glory is based upon each individual’s previous PVP performance and is therefore so much less of a grind for those who have already reached Legend in previous seasons than it is for those who haven’t. Or they simply don’t want to lose their bragging rights with the Not Forgotten.
-
2 RepliesIf they do anything, they need to increase it back to where it was. Solo cue is easy as hell, the grind (up to fabled) is no sweat. Very little drop off. I'm glad it kicked back up after Fabled. They shouldn't be handing out top tier guns (even if they aren't as good as they used to be).

Must be some big changes since I last played comp, last I remember, losing only brought me down like, I wanna say 50, and then winning brought me up at least 100 again
-
Ugh. So many -blam!- tryhards. Thats cool comp is easy for any of you. For the rest of us, wed like to progress without having to have a 3-1 ratio.

What are you talking about? How Glory Rank works now is the best it's ever been since it got introduced. If anything, I hope Bungie keeps it like this and doesn't change anything.
-
Glory loss/gain is based on your “skill rating”. I lost 0 all the way up to ~4000 then only 10-50 up to 5500.
-
11 RepliesIt was that forgiving until you got to 2100 glory. Now you get to play with the big boys. Congratulations.
-
2 RepliesNo its fine as it is. Before shadowkeep, ud lose a hell of a lot more. Its fine as it is.
-
1 ReplyNo need to. It's stupid easy compared to the past seasons.
-
4 RepliesThey have made it so easy now , just play, you will get there.

3 RepliesEdited by BC1 Edge: 11/12/2019 5:10:52 AMWTF?? Seriously??? Before reaching fabled I lost two games in a row and dropped 8 points and won a game and got over 100 points . After fable it should be more challenging...Why don’t you just say “bungie when I log on can you give me the pinnacle guns”
-
3 RepliesEdited by Bane0079: 11/12/2019 4:36:47 AMThe loss penalty is fine, but I agree it is frustrating when you're on a bad team or with quitters. I wish they'd just add a 1v1 style survival match for Glory... That way when/if you lose, you'd have no one but yourself to blame.
-
1 ReplyIt's definitely fine. It used to be waaaaay more. And even more before then. I think the bigger issue is the matchmaking. Everyone on your team should be close to your skill level. One person shouldn't be expected to carry a team in comp. Just seems like there are too many highs and lows on some teams.
-
You start losing major points at the segment where the game thinks you belong, based on your previous games. It’s adjusting on the fly.
-
It's the most forgiving it's ever been. Have you stopped to consider maybe you are just a 2500 caliber player? That's not terrible man, that's about as good as I am.
-
3 RepliesLol no it's way too easy at the moment
-
It’s already mad easy. Taking out or nearly removing the loss penalty makes glory the same as valor.
-
At some point man you can’t ask for bungie to make it any easier on you get real
-
3 RepliesThey already did lmao. Comp is stupid easy now. Just play and you'll make it to fabled easy.
-
Fully agree, as the higher penalty at higher ranks makes the game far more infuriating than it does fun and challenging. This new boosted glory system seemed like a good idea at first, but truth be told, it simply makes it way easier for the seasoned pro-players to hit legend whilst getting lesser players like me hooked on the progression only to hit a wall at a certain rank. Wouldn’t care so much if I didn’t want that damn not forgotten. Hopefully Bungie will take note if more players are trying to hit legend only to hit a severely frustrating wall.
-
You'll find no love here since everyone is mad that there is a freelance queue and they can't form stacked teams to get easy kills. I'm not sure if anything needs to be changed, but I tend to have long winning or losing streaks. I can drop 500-1000 points pretty quickly. They really should have the ranking system be more of a bragging point than a requirement for a weapon IMO. But if they made it too easy no one would be playing comp because they would all be done. It's funny how often people leave or are afk. I won a match earlier today where one of my teammates was using a bot to not get kicked.
-
2 RepliesEr... what? As it is you only lose exactly 4 points per loss and gain 200 per win. At least, that's how it's been for me during my entire climb.
-
I have all but given up in comp. I can’t get my glory any higher then it is now, so I pretty much realize there is no point. I know that my own lack of skills must be the problem, so I will no longer burden teammates any longer. Don’t bother wasting your time and hurt other people by being bad just because you want not forgotten. There is no point. I’ve learned my lesson, and I know I’ll never get it.

4 RepliesIt would be better to add a diffrent mechanic like..if you lose 2 or more in a row your next win grants you double points ..that way you can recover from those losses
