Just asking for a logical reason, I’m sure it has something to do with how the game system is organized but holy sh’t is it annoying. It actually seems purposeful to make the grind harder since most bounties can and do overlap.
So is it a game system thing or is this just classic Bungie forcing the grind to be harder than it is?
Actually let’s be honest, it’s definitely because Bungie wants the grind to take longer... classic
Oh well, add it to the list of the other BS grind mechanics they’ve forced us to do for ~absolutely no reason~

For real or add being able to buy bounties from orbit. It's pretty annoying since flying to the tower or any where else takes like 5 minues to load in. 😿

they dont want us to stack them .

Bounties and Quest are still linked you can have a total of 63 quest + bounties.

Because Bits. But seriously, can people seriously not just express a grievance without accusing Bungie of secretly planning to burglarize their house and kill their dog?

If I recall, quests and bounties are still counted under one "inventory" even through they're separated. I think the max limit was between 60-65, so if you had let's say 40 quests, then you'd only have 20-25 bounty spaces left (and quests are easy to stockpile since most are by character rather than by account). If I'm wrong about something though then please correct me. I don't think it was done intentionally, but it was certainly done sloppily.

I could swear I could have 32 bounties when Shadowkeep first dropped. Now it’s like 21. What the hell...

During Solstice of Heroes there were especially long loading times because of the sheer number of completed or in progress bounties there were for that event, in addition to the usual weekly/daily/quests that players held. Presumably the official reason is this is a 'fix' to reduce that. However, there does seem to be a lot of ridiculous padding: quests for shaders and emblems in our activities; Eris quests that have both a quest and bounty slot, etc. The cynical part of me thinks it's to increase the grind time, preventing us from combining more activities.

Since we are limited to the amount of bounties we can hold, why do bounties also have time limits? Answer: forced repeatability and calling it "content"

Maybe separate the quests count from the bounty count
