1. Don't complain to Bungie on the weekends or holidays. Bungie people go to the pub or see their families. (https://pbs.twimg.com/media/EBVyjaRWkAAvjIQ.jpg)
Their fault for having an open connection to the Internet and letting people communicate with them on personal social media. Should have considered that before making all of these poor decisions.
2. Bungie people prefer to use reddit over bungie.net for good reasons as its a better platform to keep track of feedback or find posts, and it's less of a salt mine compared to B.net. (Have an account on Reddit.com)
It should not matter where the feedback comes from. At all. Plus, this forum came first and should be treated as the more direct platform to communicate with Bungie. The only reason it ISN'T is because the devs don't want to have a presence here due to not wanting to be told the truth of their poor decisions.
3. Don't try to criticize them or call them idiots. They are more likely to actually listen to you if you treat them with respect, and are interested in them or helping them. (People usually act defensive or stubborn if you criticize them. Just don't act "company worshiping").
This part? F*ck this part. They are a professional game developer. They are not infallible and they deserve to hear every piece of feedback from every source. What you are suggesting here is to not tell them what they are doing wrong or they are going to clam up like children, with arms crossed and a big fat pout on their faces. Forget that. I'll tell them how shit their lack of new armor for the base game vendors is all I want.
4. Use what you can to get on top without making a mess.
No vendor refresh or new armor/weapons for EDZ, Titan, Nessus, Io, Mercury, Mars, Tangled Shore, Dreaming City or the Tower. No factions. No new activity variations or events for Escalation Protocol, Black Armory Forges, Menagerie and STILL no new Infinite Forest activity outside of Holiday Events. Paid Seasonal Content (except armor and weapons) being removed after every Season. Everything that was good about Shadowkeep is pointless when the necessary shit that needs doing is not being done. Bungie need to just stop with this weird decision-making process. It started with the reboot in 2013, it happened with every release associated with D2 and it is afflicting this DLC right now. It's garbage. All of it, hot stinking garbage.

I’ve got an idea of how “discussion” would go based on my past 2 attempts. 1. When I was very unhappy with well nerf rumors, I mentioned it to the clan and they seemed easily swayed for it. When they said pve was easy and it was a crutch, I merely asked why they don’t have a high triumph score and why do they have requirements for clan raids etc. Admin/founders basically said “who cares/it’s our rules” so I elaborated further but they wouldn’t hear it, instead they were using a friend of theirs, that likes to but in and looked for any attempt at insulting that friend as an attack. This had nothing to do with me thinking my opinion is was absolute or some nonsense. They were unwilling to stand being called out for their excuses, and let their upset of feeling stupid show through how they treated me. Even a guy that saw what I said could only blame me for giving him a headache. CONTINUED

  • 2. Before that, there was an Eververse thread I replied to. This guy failed-no, chose to believe that racking up bright dust by “just playing the game” no longer works after all we’ve lost and the fall changes that are coming. “We can’t say anything because it’s not out yet”. Choosing to ignore history and refusing to make an educated guess is weak, at the very least. Even with 100 seasonal ranks, they are still just engrams based on that pass screenshot. I most certainly won’t be adding to a collection I know I won’t finish next season, or any after with this new model

They aren't trying to shut down discussion with bungie. Though, I will admit it does appear that they may have made their intentions more confusing to understand by saying "don't criticize them," when what they really should have said is "keep the criticism constructive." You are correct, though, they are not infallible, but neither are the people criticizing them, and that is why we need to treat them with respect when criticizing them. They are people, just like us, and most of us on these forums get extremely defensive when our ideas are argued against, just like anybody on the internet. They deserve to hear all the feedback, but if people want to actually give feedback in order to change the game for the better, it NEEDS to be respectful.

  • And this is a perfect example of why Bungie does not use these forums!

  • Doesn't mean that we should have to go to Reddit. That's lame.

  •
Doesn't mean that we should have to go to Reddit. That's lame.
You don’t have to go to Reddit, but you should be respectful. Too many bandwagon destiny haters on this forum. Of course they don’t want to pay attention to it. Criticize the game and provide actual feedback, not “screw bungo” and “the game is garbage.”

  • What are you even talking about. Bungue has ignored reddit style posts here as well. If this place is as bad as you say it is, then why not Bungie just close the forums all together and leave out what's necessary for technical issues?

  • When a game I paid to play exposes my IP address to people who commit federal cyber crimes (i.e. DDoSing), then yes, I have a right as a paying customer/consumer to be a _tad_ salty about Bungie, especially since nowhere in the packaging for the game, or descriptions of the game on their own download page, mentions the fact that this game runs on 'hybrid peer-to-peer' and as such, leaves me vulnerable to getting DDoSed. If I'd known that before I bought the game, I wouldn't have bought the game. Or if I had bought the game, I'd at least know to play through a VPN.

It’s common human decency. Criticize, provide negative feedback. I only ask that you are respectful to others, the developer, and provide feedback to fix it. Not mindless hate.

  • Yeah, I am all for that. Simply just saying the game sucks without explaining why does nothing.

  • I've seen almost no posts where people just post 'D2 stinks, Bungie stinks' type of one-line posts/threads without saying why, and I've been on the forums for a few years. Even when it's just a short rant, people still explain what part of the game they are having an issue with, and why, and even if they can't articulate exactly what is happening (not everyone is cognizant of the minutiae of game development), it's clearly a fault with the way Bungie designed, coded, implemented their own game.

  • Oh, they're there. They usually only last a day or two before they're either deleted, locked or cast down into the far depths of the abyss due to more and more threads being posted.
