Cross Save - Cannot progress past Authentication

Hi Mr Bungie Dev Sir! I main on Xbox but I have an active Profile on PC (BLIZ). I wanted to enable Cross Save to play my Xbox Characters on PC. Here are the rough steps I followed: 1. Linked Xbox and BLIZ accounts 2. Linked Steam account (when it was first made available a while back) 3. Prepared PC account for move to Steam (yesterday)- Reports Success 4. Initiate Cross Save activation (today) - Get Started 5. Accept T&C and move to Cross Save Step 1. 6. Authenticate Xbox and BLIZ Account - No Continue Button (tried multiple browsers and logging into each account first on Bungie.net and initiating and get the same result). 7. Authenticate Xbox, BLIZ and Steam (All Authenticate fine) - No Continue button (remains greyed out). I get no errors but I am unable to proceed. I do have a PlayStation Account linked to Bungie.net but I no longer have access to that account. It has never been used for Destiny (1 or 2) and has no characters or stats. I initially linked it in anticipation of purchasing a PS4 but my circumstances changed and I never ended up getting the PS4. When I try to "Unlink" it it asked me to login before I can unlink it. I have tried all the suggested workarounds pertaining to using different browsers and logging in to different accounts first but nothing seems to allow me to proceed past the "Authenticate Accounts" stage. Questions: 1. Do all linked accounts (on Bungie.net) need to be authenticated before you can initiate cross save? 2. Is this the case even if you never intent to use the other platform? 3. Is there a way that Bungie can unlink my PS account from my Bungie.net profile? 4. Ultimately is this the reason why my Cross Save process is getting stuck? Kind Regards, GuavaEater

  • I 'm not sure it can be done, Destiny, Bungie and Steam do not appear to be compatible or there's a significant bug preventing its use.

My original Bungie.net account was on Xbox but I had an active account on Blizzard Basically I followed these steps: 1. Logged into Bungie.net with my Xbox ID 2. Unlinked Steam from Bungie.net 3. Unlinked Blizzard from Bungie.net 4. Logged into Bungie.net with Blizzard account (it found a profile and I accepted it was the same) 5. Linked Steam and activated Steam Move 6. Linked Xbox ID via normal linking (Settings --> Linked Accounts) 7. Started the Cross Save from scratch as per normal. Now i did get an error in the final review but I re-logged in in an Incognito Window and redid the process. Worked fine. Logged into Destiny 2 on Xbox - All seems normal Logged into Destiny 2 on BLIZ - Yes it worked and all seems normal As always guys: TRY AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!! AS IS - NO SUPPORT CAN BE PROVIDED BY ME YOU WILL ALSO HAVE TO RELINK ANY EXTERNAL APPS LIKE DIM OR DESTINY TRACKER AND YOUR PROFILE WILL SHOW AS A FRESH 1 DAY ON BUNGIE.NET

    • TL;DR I managed to get a way around having an old PSN account linked onto my Profile So I managed to fix this and get Cross Save enabled. The PSN account is no longer on my profile but it was a bit of a hack work around. Will take me a while to write it up
