Give me a compass and a flashlight please?!
Is there a reason that Gaurdians apparently can’t carry day one boy scout camping gear with them? Sick of checking the map every thirty seconds to make sure I’m headed in the right direction while looking for overly obscure quest objectives and then running into a cave or hallway thats so dark I cant see where the hell I am.
Cardinal directions on the radar please. Toggle-able flashlight on my ghost please. Ffs. The most basic game mechanics elude bungie to this day.

3 RepliesThe real question is what areas are you lost in lol? Also just follow the waypoint. If the area is actually dark then the ghost will pop out to light the area, if not then perhaps adjust your brightness settings.

Oh man I would kill for a flashlight in this game. Some places are so dark especially on HDR that you cant see anything and the damn ghost doesnt wanna turn on his lantern. Please Bungie, give us a freaking lantern. My phone has one :)

I mean who needs a functional flashlight when you can just walk backwards into a cave using the outside light as a point of reference waiting for Ghost to finally feel like turning the lights on. It's not like we're in the bloody future where we have instant summon hover bikes, ships capable of going from Mercury to a moon of Jupiter in a minute, Exos with a digitized human consciousness, and have SIVA that's capable of building cities in months.....if not weeks. We have flashlights on some of our weapons...why can't we use those?

I keep the brightness in game turned up high and on my tv as well. I’m never not able to see anything.

heres a tip for those dark places I've done since d1 tap on your button to make ghost pop up, know what I'm talking about? double tap it to flash your ghost and he'll send a scan out that quickly shows you everything.. its not very good but its the best you can do... unless you wanna waste ammo to light up an area

Now that I think about it, crust weapons have something that could function like a compass The numbers in the scopes rotate as you turn It’s not very practical though
