It’s a bit excessive.
But what’s the reward, one powerful gear? I think people will live if they can’t complete it.

Oh absolutely, it just seems that behind the scenes the balance with regard the RNG on drop rate has been miscalculated, seeing as the kill count required is vastly higher than any other bounty of his. Now that I've completed it once to get the triumph, I'll definitely be ignoring it next time it pops up in rotation. As you say, it's just not worth the reward.
