Will Battle.net players get a Steam code for the game?

Will we get Steam code for all the game content up to Forsaken or is my money down the drain? I like playing Destiny 2 with some friends from time to time. I am not a hardcore player. I am not sure if i want to pre-order Shadowkeep right now and I am really worried that I am forced to buy the game AGAIN! The cross-save announcement and character-transfers sound all good but I want to move MY GAME to Steam not buy it again!

More information will be coming later this Summer. If you want to be notified when it's time to start dealing with the move, please see here: https://www.bungie.net/PCMove As far as license transfers from Blizzard to Steam, your purchased licenses on Blizzard's version of Destiny 2 will transfer to Steam: https://www.bungie.net/en/Explore/Detail/News/47882
Current PC players will be able to bring all of their progress and purchases with them.
So you'll have no need to buy any of your current Blizzard licenses again on Steam.
