Thank you for keeping the Moon a Quarantine Zone for no reason, so that our enemies can AGAIN establish a base of operations right next to our home planet.
It's not like this happened before, after the Great Disaster, right?
And again Eris Morn comes to warn us of impending doom. That's the new Hunter Vanguard for you. Always scouting the next threat, always being there when the time is right.
Unlike some blue dude sitting on the edge of the railing in the Tower all day, staring at the City he's apparently intent on losing. No wonder he's friends with Dead Orbit!
Next we know we're having a second SIVA outbreak after that Eramis Fallen Baroness revives the House of Devils and fuses with Aksis or something.

21 RepliesLmao wrong. To everyone hate circle-jerking in the comments: First: The moon was quarantined BUT still a had a special task force of Guardians to keep it in check. Placed there BY ZAVALA. Secondly: The task force started to dwindle because of the DRIFTER luring them in with gambit. (Thanks to all you corrupt scum that sided with him) Thirdly: They said in the live stream today that it was Eris Morn that accidentally released/caused what's on the moon at the moment and that she's asking for our help to fix it. Fourthly: Eris Morn is one of Ikoras Hidden agents, so has more contact with her and none with Zavala Fifth: Eris Morn isn't the new Hunter vanguard as far as we know All Cayde did was run off by himself to kill the Barons and Uldren and die like a -blam!-. Then all the Hunters -blam!- out of the tower so they didn't get picked to replace him. All of this is in the lore too.

Ive been wanting to go back to the moon for awhile now. My stepdad Steven got in a car wreck up there a few months back. I’m excited to see what Eris has been up to.

From what I can gather he has some how come back to life and commands his hive army from those wretched depths below from an ominous hive fortress at the hellmouth. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Luna.

2 RepliesNot to defend the blue, bald statue in the Tower, but I believe the Drifter indirectly helped in aiding the enemy on the moon by tempting some of the special task force Guardians that Zavala placed on the moon (which, yes he did quarantine, likely more for Bungie not having made a Moon area in D2 yet), that dwindled that force. Also, Eris Morn was there as well, and if I'm reading the lore correctly, she had a hand in stirring the crap that's starting on the Moon. Not intentionally, though. Lastly, no Hunter Vanguard has been selected yet.
