I can't believe the 2 highest total replies and upvote postings keep getting ninja nerfed down the lists.. show some balls Bungie and pin them already.

Edited by Spawn: 5/21/2019 3:39:34 PMI've seen a few comments regarding "moving this post down", so I'll chime in regarding the way thread aging works. There is no trickery here - never has. If you're specifically referring to the "Trending" category, threads age over time. As a thread ages, it automatically has less priority in the Trending section meaning the threshold of "upvotes" required to keep it there is really high and scales up as time goes on (it's been this way for years). Upvotes/downvotes can play a factor, but only if a thread is new(ish). This particular thread you're referring to is already over 5 days old. Thus, it doesn't meet the requirements to live on the first page of trending. "Latest" will always show most recent replies as the sorting, with a much longer time span until they aren't viewable, (I believe it's past a year), but is always much more difficult to follow in high traffic forums like D2. But anyone can still see a post with the direct link.

I think it’s pathetic that you think it works that way. If You make one more silly thread I’ll call over the peg boy himself to take care of you.

Edited by TheShadow-cali: 5/21/2019 2:03:14 PMYeah, the mods will keep post trending for 3 days that have maybe 25 likes and 50 replies for shaders on a gun, but if you make a post like this... https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/252090769?sort=0&page=0 It's gets buried especially if it's someone some of the mods don't like or if it brings attention to Bungie that they don't like, like my post. They literally do this with every single post I create that is trending that in less of a day it gets buried.

Edited by MouthMaggot: 5/22/2019 1:54:57 PMSeems to me if that maybe even the forums could use a revamp and direction change . Maybe if the topics people wanted to discuss and talk about were easier to find therefore discuss it would maybe curb some of the negativity. Would make it feel more like Bungie wanted to have a discussion instead of waiting for it to die of the list and have to either be reposted or gave up on? Now don't get me wrong. Compared to the game the forums can wait to be fixed

I still don't see a response that explains why you wouldn't want the topics people are constantly commenting on to slip down the list? Your description of the age thing makes sense. I'd love a world where I can hit the reset button every 3 days and pretend it never happened also

Edited by Cinderchar: 5/21/2019 3:01:16 PMYou're giving Bungie way too much credit to think they care enough about what is said on this particular forum to do something like this. I am sure the only reason Cosmo replies from time to time is because he is bored at work like the rest of us. Nothing said on this particular forum has any influence on the game. Go to Reddit if you want to be heard or help shape the game. You don't get nearly as much worthless trash replies, suggestions and overall whining there.

Or maybe those posts are just old and not getting as much traffic
-
speaking about gambit, ive always wondered, when ur fighting the meatball, does the other team fight the meatball too? i have never payed attention to that and just thought about it now for some reason
-
Thank God I was edited and moved again. Appropriate tags? I don't use tags ever..I'm old and don't get the uses
-
just switch to trending instead of new in your forum filter
-
This happens if a post has been on trending for several days. It will be pushed down regardless of the activity within the thread. Bungie is not actively pushing it down.
-
You know, if they WERE moving down posts and making sure opposing views would be squashed, this post talking about that would be gone... https://imgur.com/OjzAz30 Or, you know, the fourth highest when the forum filter is set to trending...
-
Where do you think all the enchantment core posts go to?
-
This post is dumb down vote.

Yeh censorship in any form is a pretty scummy practice if you ask me. Bungie never used to do this, but then again they used to make good games, with less complaints.
-
I guess its the Forums fault so many have given up on the game? Or maybe the nerfing? Who cares. Just quit playing allready.
-
just clicked the "Highest rated" filter thinking it would be at the top but for some reason every post there has less than 10 up votes... weird. not sure they know the meaning of highest rated.

Edited by name: 5/21/2019 10:59:55 AMfreedom of speech isnt very welcome in todays "progressive woke" age, the progress i see is only in degeneracy tho :D
-
Is it really bungie doing that? Or is it the me too crowd and their tag along threads doing the pushing?
-
They have at least 3 factors for what floats to the top and that just leads to a harder to understand system. It's just a crappy forum structure really, and it's the new normal because it's enjoyable for people to get on a discussion board and not actually discuss anything. Twitter and reddit being the biggest offenders in popularizing this, and reinforcing bad practice. Hardly a conspiracy, don't give them more credit than deserved. It's just a terrible forum like most others.
-
They're not obligated to pin anything. And maybe the post just ran out of people to upvote it. I mean, 6000. Didn't know there were that many people here.
-
You want the truth? They can’t handle the truth!
-
And when was the last time you played this game? 8 months ago? LOL Sticking around the forums just to troll, get a life.

all it shows is how ignorant, anyone who believes Bungie is burying posts, are. at the time of typing this, that thread is literally right below this thread. so not even close to buried. try changing your filter.
