How, Why, and... Why?

The Season of the Drifter is pretty infamous among PvE enthusiasts for being... a bit wank. It includes virtually no PvE elements and is entirely PvP, something Destiny 2 and 1 both failed at. We've all been killed five seconds after a kill by a "melee". Matchmaking's always been shoddy (while writing this, I was put in Iron Banner alone against an entire Clan) but it seems to have gotten worse... somehow. So uh, GG Bungie. When I heard Activision and Bungie were splitting I thought "Yes, finally we can get good content for realises!" But nah, Bungie was too busy saying "We don't need Activision to f*** everything up, we can do it fine ourselves!" The new Exotics (Jotunn, Last Word, Thousand Voices) are just outright OP in all modes. I've seriously not even been able to get a shot off at a Strike Boss simply because my Hunter buddy one-shots them before they get a chance to finish spawning. The fact that PvP is outright required to get loot in this game now renders it unplayable to Warlock mains, since our Supers are useless and our Rifts take far too long to drop for far too little payoff. Meanwhile Titans have a massive wall and Hunters have an instant invisibility button always at hand. I've always wondered why they don't just have non-PvP alternatives for Exotic quests, and the dreaded Acrius Exotic Shotgun remains locked off to many friendless Guardians like myself, since people won't play the Leviathan Raid anymore because "they've already beaten it". Here's an idea; have Xur sell the Exotics for a heightened price at random once a week, eh? Maybe 150 Shards for a quest-based weapon, bypassing the quest and forsaking any other rewards aside from the Exotic itself. I sure hope the next "Season" actually does anything for the fans of this game, not the tryhard kids who only play Crucible and Gambit (a mode that is all-round fine, but the PvP completely annihilates it's chances of being fun since you'll always be one-shot by that wanker with the Thousand Voices). This is just me trying to get a little venting done. I know my suggestions fall on deaf ears, but who knows? Maybe one day this game won't be nigh-unplayable again... like at launch.
