I was banned for no reason
I just finished raiding with my clan, and I got disconnected, I tried to rejoin and it says my account is banned. I don't know what to do, as I haven’t done anything wrong. Please help!

3 RepliesLooking into your Game History, you don't PvP so that rules out any cheating in Crucible, and it also looks like you were defeated every time you played Gambit Prime, so that rules out doing fishy things in Gambit Prime. Looks like you really only play PvE content, and with the usual people that you're familiar with that have vouched for you in this thread. However, that said, Bungie is really strict with their banning processes. Destiny 2 on PC in particular will instantly ban your account if it detects any program hooking onto it, like the usage of Cheat Engine or Aimbots. Discord does not trigger this, even with the Discord Overlay which isn't supported. Your best bet would be to PM Cozmo/Deej on the Bungie forums or even on Twitter to explain what has happened and if it's possible for them to take a look into your ban for you to know what triggered the ban in the first place. If I had a guess, a program on your computer hooked onto the Destiny 2 app, which then immediately banned you. If you're innocent or not isn't up to anyone else to decide but Bungie though, and expecting an answer or fix on their forums won't work at all.

2 RepliesNinjas, can you please lock threads like this after a while? A post about a ban shouldn't have more than five replies, let alone over 160. It's just spam at this point. OP, you have been told countless times by several people that there is [i][b]nothing[/b][/i] that you can do. Bans are [i][b]permanent[/b][/i]. Bungie does [i][b]not[/b][/i] discuss them. The only bans that were given erroneously were back during the beta. Something on your system triggered a flag for Bungie's Security Response Team to manually review. They confirmed it, and so they issued your ban. That is all the information you're going to get.

Assuming you really didn't do anything, you say it's a very basic computer. I'm no expert but if your hardware isn't up to par, maybe it was causing some kind of connection errors in the game, like lagging you around with other players or something. I don't know, do you play crucible or gambit much? Maybe something in the connection during this games caused you to be reported multiple times?

No, no you can’t, what a stupid thing to say. This is not murder, this is a company stopping a paying customer from using their product, someone who could have easily spent hundreds of dollars on said product. At the very least they could inform the person by email with time, date and reason and a way for you to state your case.

I too have had an account ban. They don’t ban for no reason as I thought mine was a mistake too but i had posted a clip on my Xbox timeline of the game and what was in the video violated the code of conduct which resulted in my account ban. My day 1 destiny 1 account got banned and I put in 2000 or so hours but I had to start a new one. It’s a crappy feeling but you did something and you need to start a new account. Someone that has access to your account might have been using it in an ill manner. Sorry for your loss.

7 RepliesHonestly, your best bet is to contact a B.net Mod or Ninja and politely ask them if they can look into it for you. Don’t try to act pushy or for an immediate repeal, but ask them if they could at least tell you on what grounds were you banned for as you aren’t aware at the moment what may have caused it.
