Season of the drifter is a joke.
No new content just a new gambit mode. Really? It took you guys months to bring out this crap? Why base your season on a single event why not create a different world for us to explore. This is exactly what I was saying in my other thread. I can see Activision left you guys not the other way around. I'm tired of your shit guys I'm playing another game. Only the kids will keep your ball of shit rolling because they are the only ones dumb enough to buy your trash. What's your next season going to be? Lord shax and Ikora -blam!- and have kids? Some other daft shit? Bunch of dropkick.

I was super excited about this as I love Gambit myself. Just got Dredgen a few days before the new season. First day, hopped into prime and had tons of fun. Went to check out Reckoning, again fun in there, more horde mode stuff, got some Illicit gear. After a few hours of prime/reckoning I stopped to think for a second. What am I doing? I'm playing prime to play reckoning to get gear that's only useful in prime for three months? I'll just sit it out a bit until Tier 3 drops. Went to do some milestones to level up. I've gotten +2 from all DC rewards and +1 from everything else except BA weapons (those gave me +5). Ive gotten to 657 and Im done with all the milestones except the raids as I dont raid. Ive gotten an exotic drop at the same power level as I was. In the first week of BA I managed to get +17 higher from doing the same things MINUS the BA weapons/armor piece. Again I love gambit so I would gladly play the new version, its more exciting than the old one. But what am I playing it for? For armor sets that are only good in there? In BA which wasn't that great at least we had a bunch of really good weapons, some great exotics and sets of armor that were actually good outside of the forges.

“No new content” Gambit prime New armor with special perks New perks on guns New guns Reckoning with 3 tiers New map soon Allegiance quests Thorn New exotic armor For ~ $10-11 USD, I think this is fair. And they Time gate stuff so we don’t grind it all then complain that there is nothing to do because people grind it too fast. If anything I think this is better as it gives at least me something to look forward to, and the content drop lasts longer. -

10 RepliesAt first I hated the idea of this model. $40 for the Expansion then another $35 for a Season Pass. Eventually I started to consider the fact this was actually a great way to provide us content; even it did suck shelling out more cash. After all the lack of content has always been a sticking point with Destiny. However it's clear this model, to date, has been a complete joke and rip off. Glad I finally decided to skip the Season Pass after buying everything since D1. That being said Bungie really does need to provide content. You'd think that after so many years they'd actually realize that and deliver. Season of the Drifter is great and all but it's akin to a Quality of Life update that should be free. Not part of the season pass. These seasonal passes need to contain new strikes, new Gambit arenas, new PvP arenas, maybe even a small story line with a handful of missions or something. I'd say even new worlds but Mercury was atrocious, Mars wasn't half bad but not all that great itself. Though the planets in D2 do suck compared to D1.

The reason why most of us still play is because we see destinies potential and we want to give feedback in order to refine it and make it fun and enjoyable. So we stay with it and try to point bungo in the right direction.

1 ReplyNot gonna lie, I'm not interested in the gambit update. They'll only pull me off Anthem and Black Desert when they bring out some interesting storyline and shiny new armour and weapons that actually feel powerful. If it wasn't for A Thousand Voices dropping for me a while back, I'd have left before the black armoury update dropped.

Well if you liked gambit youre likely to play season of the gambit right? If gambit is not your thing, there's some other games can't afford that $60 new game, there's game pass. Btw i played gambit for the 1st and last time past week due the 3ple infamy, -blam!- gambit.
