I just tried to buy materials that are required to complete quests, like Iradite and Golkulum (or some wacky sh*t), but couldn’t find any on the market. Trading exists, but you need to be in a clan for that. I do agree that pay to win exists, but I feel (although I’m a somewhat new player) that it’s balanced with grind stuff, and there’s the one corner that is full of money-paying fools who are a tad lazy. Anyway, there’s a a decent amount of both pay2win elements and grinding elements. The most annoying thing is most likely the parts where you have to have certain things accomplished to get through the game. For example, the junction from Mars to Phobos is a pain, cause you need Phobos to complete the Cetus junction. Once you’re past that, Warframe just splits like the Red f*cking Sea for you. Hopefully this was somewhat helpful to you, and maybe convinces you to go through and see for yourself. Honestly, Warframe is as good as any other game, just gotta have patience with unlocking mechanics.

I played warframe quite a bit. And the grind and weak content updates just killed it for me. The core gameplay is fun, but it unfortunately it gets tarnished due to copy-pasted missions and ungodly grind times that after awhile it loses any sense of fun. It is nice to finally meet someone who recognize the fact that warframe has pay-2-win.

  • I mean, you’re not wrong. There is a ton of copy and paste missions, but it’s the content that brings me back, because there’s a whole ton of frames and whip Tom of weapons you gotta get, and usually it takes about 20 minutes to get the blueprints. All it is from there is waiting. I can wait, I’m not on much due to educational reasons, but honestly it like Destiny: grind for the top gear, except Warframe has slightly different mechanics on obtaining them. Like a survival shooter, without the survival part, if that makes any sense. All I recommend is getting through Phobos and Mars, they are pain in the *ss planets to get through, one of the main reasons people quit.

  • In destiny, whenever I complete a quest for a new exotic weapon or something along those lines, I fell rewarded. I have this sense of yes, I did this and I earned this. On the flipside with warframe, very, very few quests felt actually rewarding. And the big super rewarding missions often had medicore rewards. Like here, run through these 3 hard missions with modifiers, and as a reward heres X amount of kuva.

I got well past that. Pretty sure I got every location unlocked save for a few void locations. There's no denying that the core gameplay is beyons fun. The many different frames offer plenty of different play styles and there's plenty of fun weapons. The main problem lies in the grind and often pitbull content updates. Look at Forasaken. It added 9 new supers, two new patrol areas with plenty to do in each, and whole new PvEvP mode, and a metric-blam!-ton of new weapons and armor. And look at plains of Eidoloen (Last big udate I experienced). We got like 3-4 new weapons, still only one new frame, and one new area that is pointleas unless your running a bounty or mission. What I want in a warframe content update is multiple frames that aren't story or lore related, just three new frames. I would want several new weapons(like 5-10) and a new, unique area with plenty to do and possibly new mission types or quests that don't take an hour and a half to complete.
