The only reason I’d want this to happen is so all the kids who complain about going against “stacked” teams won’t have this as an excuse anymore for being bad. I wonder what the next excuse would be.

This great idea has been put forward and ignored by the “crucible team” for almost the entire life of D2. Too many scrubs like to pad their stats and ego running stacked in QP like its comp and will come to insult you and downvote your post.

Didn’t they do a solo playlist in d1 and no one used it. Most people don’t care it just the few that do are on here bitching.

YES!!!!! This should be done for gambit too. I’m sick of playing against 4 stacks with queenbreakers in there. Another thing that’s bullshit is being mercied by a 6 stack with 4 not forgotten owners

I play solo in qp mostly, I do really well against teams and solos. Just don’t be dumb, most solo players lack a lot of common sense in crucible. They worry about their own stats instead of helping their team, and then turn around and blame the team or certain players for losses or deaths. Just be more aware and learn to pick your engagements.

The decision to make playing on premade teams an absolute necessity is the main reason why matchmaking in crucible is in such a terrible state. Its not CBMM vs. SBMM, its the fact that there was almost zero effort put into creating an acceptable experience for solo players let alone one that would actually encourage more solo players to play. You can't split the playlists up any more than they already are though. The low player pool is one of the other reasons matchmaking has trouble creating fair teams. For the millionth time, they need to create some type of rating or value based solely on solo play that takes into account final score, K/D, how well you played the objective, who you play, whether you win, connection, and other factors going on behind the scenes that limit or increase a players' score in any given match. If you play on a team then this value should not be computed. They then need to take this rating and let it stand alone outside of the team based ratings and give no pinnacle weapons for certain scores or really any other benefits other than the rating. The regular ranks should still be what is used to give out weapons and such. One of the upsides is that seeing a rating increase or decrease based on certain match parameters might actually help the metric ton of people who play this game and still have no idea how matchmaking or the flow of matches actually works. There are still people on here complaining about "blueberries" when they should know good and goddamn well that 90% of the time those are the people with no shot registration. If you begin to see that your score doesn't go down as much when you are consigned to the "no shot registration group" it might lead a lot of people to a better understanding of the way the game really works. And this is just one of the benefits that could be had with respect to understanding the way the game works. Matchmaking will never ever be what any of the player base other than those who play on stacked teams want it to be but with a solo rating we could at least have something.

What no-one mentions below is that PvP needs you in there Guardian. Without unsuspecting, or not, solo queuers, PvP would not have any cannon fodder for ‘got gud’ crowd. If everyone in stacked teams faced off against each other- imagine the teeny-sweatfest that would be, every single match... These guys need you so they can farm! PvP in all its incarnations in Destiny has been, to various degrees, awful. It is currently the awfullest yet. I cannot imagine why anyone would play it for fun. Emptying an entire magazine into an opponent, have them eventually realise you’re there and turn to two-tap you...mmm...add in all the game shenanigans and handicapping and it’s a hard pass on all of it. Made it to the Lighthouse a few times in D1 TTK era - can’t even being myself to get the single match engram...

Genius idea, seems logical, makes perfect sense....and that’s why it will never happen

Bungie has already commented on this. They hate the idea of longer matchmaking times.
