Got a crazy hatemail from a Luna user for using old meta gun...
Just casually trying to make progress on Colony's catalyst in IB... Got decent amount of kills with it. I felt bad using a nightmare weapon from the past, until a Luna user went apeshit and hellscape with hatemail on me. Normally, I don't post topics in general nor tell stories about personal problems, but I wanted to share this because god almighty this poor fella really went all out verbally. Out of all the Luna wielders I've faced, this is probably the most frustrated Luna user yet. Can't tell if I did something right or wrong...
Hold on. Before you call me a scrub for using a scrub gun, (don't mind really heh) my reason for me using Colony is to see why it was hated back then and working on its catalyst. ( I didn't know I can get it upgraded on PVE after getting the catalyst) I was telling that Luna dude I am being truthfully honest about why I am using a "OP" gun, but he snapped back at me with lotta hate. I was expecting a chilled reply like I had on a Gambit match for using Queenbreaker to get Malfeasance.
Poor bastard kept threatening me to do 1v1... I just ignored him and move on because 1v1s are pointless and a waste of time. DON'T feel down if you decline 1v1s, you're just saving yourself the trouble and the annoyances... Sorry if I somewhat sounded like a butthurt person, but I really wanted to get this story off of my head.
TL;DR: Never accept 1v1s and use any gun you like. Expect lotta hate based on your performances when the time comes. Thank you all and happy holidays!
Edit: Sorry for not really directing his quote. I deleted the message after getting spammed. As for as I remember, he kept calling me trashcan for using colony and kept telling me to 1v1 without supers nor heavies. I really ain't a topic poster, so try to bear with me for a few days.
Final Edit: Woah. Thanks for giving some excellent advice and stories people! I never truly "hate" overused weapons and loadouts. I do get annoyed, but not enough to make me headbutt walls out of frustration.

PVP tryhards always get mad when you get the better if them. It's why the Sleeper was nerfed. It was easy to use it to kill the sweaties without using their accepted meta of pulse rifles and hand cannons. Pulse rifles have been ridiculously op in PVP for months yet no one complains about it because it is the tryhard accepted meta. Sleeper was not an accepted tryhard meta and was nerfed for it. PVP and subsequently Gambit is the root of all balance problems in this game. If they could detach it from from pve this game would become unstoppable.

i haven't touched colony despite having a catalyst for it since i used it in one trials match and found it really boring and same goes for glance still waiting for the 150 rpm scout fix

I use a shotgun, mainly because I am not good at pvp, I do also use snipers. I almost always get outplayed. My only problem is pulses, simply because it seems that even though I can barley get a kill with one, I seem to always get melted across the map.

9 RepliesMy experience against Luna/Shotgun Tryhards... > Own Tryhard with Telesto > Tryhard: "That weapon is for scrubs" > I switch to Erentil FR4 and own him worse > Tryhard: "That weapon is also for scrubs" As many people already pointed out, most of the tryhard players don't know how to acknowledge they got outplayed and every time they lose it must be because the winning player was using "OP guns that need to be nerfed".... even though such weapons are completely underused compared to Luna when you check the stats for them. If they're using Luna and getting owned by Non-meta weapons, they just need to get good lmao. Also, let me guess... that guy who sent you hatemail was using Wardcliff lmao.

Sweaty meta apes hate losing to anything not current meta.Destroyed a meta them with hard light and the hate mail would not stop.Best ever was stomping a meta crew with a sniper and sma making a video about me melee hacking.The idiot was so mad he thought ball lighting perk was a hack...smh

If someone is going to take the time to send hate mail because you used a gun YOU enjoy or simply wanted to make progress on its catalyst, they can suck it. I get that some weapons can be cheap and frustrating to deal with, but don’t send the player hate. That won’t get you anywhere and you just look like a child and an overall ass...

But you have less skill for letting me get that close.” And yep, after that response comes the “1v1 me.” I’ve received messages like that many times. It’s so sad that people take this game so seriously.

I get hate mail from Luna's Howl users all the time, always challenge me to a 1v1 when they realise they can't win a war of words. I always decline, there's no point going into a 1v1 knowing they'll do anything to prevent their fragile pride from being shattered while I use normal, fun weapons. Call me a coward or whatever, the minute they challenge you, they've already lost.

7 RepliesI dont have Forsaken on Ps4 and was rocking Molesto in quickplay. Mainly out of pure spite that, coming back to PS4 so late, everyone had a luna or not forgotten or a shotty with range that maps me. I get wrecked on a regular basis by nova warps and blade barrages and if its not that, I find even my best pulse gets melted by Bygones... Man its joyful! :D Anyway...i got messaged yesterday by 2 players who beat my team easily, coating me for using Tolesto. I checked their characters...one was rocking a blue sniper that had some insane roll/stats and either a cross map shotty or a luna/not forgotten set up. Nova Warp. Other had blue shotgun and luna and blade barrage.... Either the comp player buttons on their games didnt work or the Fortnite servers were down. These kids were so sweaty they shouldve been sponsored by Lynx deodorant! Moral of the story...if ANYONE calls you out in PvP they are never a casual and always a sweatbox and should just laugh that you managed to irritate someone that cares about something wayyyy to much :)

4 RepliesWhat’s Luna got to do with it? It’s not difficult to grind out the wins for lunas, people seem to think it’s some massive achievement. Colony isn’t great and that’s his own fault, I don’t know why people care which weapon they’ve been killed by.
