Do Not Nerf the EP Shotgun
I spent hours trying to get this gun, and it should be as dominant as it is now. Other weapons need to be brought up to the shotgun, not the other way around.
Edit: I created this post because I was responding to many streamers and content creators calling a nerf to trench barrel. I disagree with that because the high risk that is often associated with the perk, and the long and unrelenting grind to receive this weapon makes it clear that it is supposed to be very powerful, much like how the Luna’s Howl is for crucible. A nerf to the gun or to the perk is a terrible idea that insults those to is who took the time to get this weapon. With the attention this post is getting, hopefully this gun will stay as potent as ever.
Edit: The weapon should not be changed at all. However, it would be nice to see some heavy and special weapon buffs to come close to matching this weapon.

I think the SMG needs a new Iklos perk, as does the sniper to make them a more viable option. Various ideas. SMG : Breaking a shield now overpowers the gun, refilling the magazine to full, and grants explosive payload to the newly filled clip. (In PVP this perk will only activate on breaking the shield of a guardian in super. Reloading deactivates the perk) Sniper : Upon aiming down sights for a short duration, the sniper will activate "Iklos Protocol" perk. All shots fired while holding ads will cause a AOE explosion (explosion will be like the Javalin from Escalation Protocol. Perk will activate after 3 seconds of ADS time and deactivate if you leave ADS) Please give feedback on this idea and anything that triggers you. These perks would replace the Iklos SMG Shield breakign perk, and boxed breathing
