Can RNG Not Be Part Of Titles?
Adding RNG to Titles is a poor and cheap way to frustrate players.
Vanity items with no real way other than luck should not be part of Titles.
You should feel like you earned a Title, not got lucky
[b]Dreaming City Ship, Ghost, and Sparrow is the best example here.[/b]
- You have 1 chance per Character a week to get these, they are extremely rare
- If you don't get them, you have to wait until another opportunity next week, or in the Ship's case THREE WEEKS
- There's no direct source to get them
The only thing I need for the Cursebreaker Title is the Ship. The Ship you can possibly get from completing Shattered Throne. The same Shattered Throne I've done 9 different times, on all 3 characters, every week it was available. I have to wait another 3 weeks for another chance at it.
[b]I'm here wondering where the rewards are for Solo Flawless Shattered Throne. Sure would be nice to have maybe... the Ship guaranteed(or something)? [/b][i]Nah, just a 0 Point Triumph is good enough. [/i] 😄

26 RepliesSo what I understand is people want it easier so everybody runs around with a title? I think it needs to be hard so there is a certain mindset that it's possible to get there, but it is work and dedication. The RNG aspect is not even that hard. If a certain item wont drop today, you do it another day. Whats the fun in that to run around 5 hours and its not dropping, try it another time. Mix it up. It's the long game which gives you the reward and not something you can accomplish in one day.

I'll never get Wayfarer cause I don't have any nightfall exclusive stuff, won't get Dredgen cause I can't get the meatball to spawn, nor curse breaker cause the ship and sparrow won't drop for me. The only title I'll be able to get is Chronicler and even then I have to wait until Tangled Shore is the Flashpoint again so I can mindlessly grind the public events in hopes that the Variks lore will drop. Rng should've never played a part in the titles.

2 RepliesBump bump bump. The only thing stopping me from getting Dredgen and Wayfarer is the Gambit ship and sparrow and the Braytech schematic shite, respectively. Had the meatball spawn about 8 times this week and still haven't got jack from it.

1 ReplyYes, its shit. Probably wont get Wayfarer because Winter Wolf wont drop. Braytech Schematics are already rare enough, the fact they can still yield dupes is painful. I'm no stranger to grind, but this is -blam!-ing stupid and frustrating.

I've lived in the Shattered Throne all 3 times it's been around. Completed on all 3 characters, numerous Completion/Wish Ender walkthroughs with other players, Solo, Solo Flawless completion, and STILL no Ship. But a player can go in there for the first time and get the Ship. All I'm asking is for something like Solo Flawless, Solo with no deaths, to have the Ship guaranteed. It currently has no rewards but a 0 point Triumph. Add reason to the madness and more people would try it.

6 RepliesI agree, I could easily get that Wayfarer Title, I just need those Braytech weapons, one of which is from a... Nightfall? Really? Why is there a strike weapon on the CoO and Warmind badge but not on the Red War or Forsaken badge? Also, why should I have to hunt for weapons that are now obsolete just for a seal?

4 RepliesI need the IKALOS sniper (should be easy to grind it next week) the Osprey (dear god this thing will never drop) and the Winter Wolf (I swear I've had 30-40 18 Kelvins and easily as many Frigid Jackals) and I swear I'll never get the title because of RNG.

Legs. 😂 Meanwhile ran through in a team earlier in the week and watched two team mates get two new exotics while I'm still waiting for a single new one on my Hunter and Titan. But wait a minute! I did get this cool emblem. Oh. A broken emblem 😂

In the case of the dredgen title it is fair to have the ship and sparrow locked behind the meatball cause that is a direct oppurtunity to get said ship and sparrow. Over this weekend i picked both up from the meatball and now only need the 3 resets for the ghost(which pisses me off) the ship and sparrow from gambit are not in anyway "super rare" its the boss itself that is super rare as the dredgen title alone i think it stands in a more "balanced" place compared to titles such as wayfarer and cursebreaker(both of which i need like 2 things to obtain)
