Borealis - ELEMENT WHEEL
Assign the elemental selection to the D-pad or hold red / circle.
Anything but hold blue.
Every time you open a chest or pick up an item - it switches elements and same with the hard light .
Hold blue could even bring up an element wheel so you can select one without having to go through each one.

In response to “Gouldbear988” and his excellent suggestion and also having taken the time to obtain and unlock the catalyst for this sniper, I have to say underwhelming.
The catalyst should have double reload speed or added box breathing at minimum.
Gouldbear988 suggested the catalysts “automatically matches elements”
I take no credit for this idea and listing it on the main post!!

Honestly if they just made it immediate instead of having to go through the stupid reload animation, I'd be fine with that. This is space magic tech. Why do I have to carry three times as many magazines for a rifle when it can just do the thing internally.

3 RepliesOne of the first times somebody brought up the interaction being the same as what will change the elements, a video was requested by a moderator. I went down to EDZ and made short clip with either Borealis or Hard Light and uploaded it for the Moderator. Of course I was thanked for the video and assured that they would be looking into it. That was a looooong time ago. As much as I enjoy Borealis, I rarely use it when I need specific types of kills. It is quite annoying. Kind of sad because Snipers have always been my preferred weapon for PvE activities.

It should just be that the 'on-srceen prompt' takes precedence over the reload/change element mechanic.

3 RepliesEdited by GouldBerg988: 11/7/2018 3:40:54 PMThe catalyst for it should just have been auto-match, "Automatically match the element to the enemy you are targeting" as an exotic sniper this thing is too weak, same wtih DARCI, they both are so outclassed by Whisper that its not even funny. IN D1 we had sunbreaker, patience and time and no land beyond. All snipers with a very unique perk.
