I'm also trying to solo Luna. I don't have it yet but I'm getting close. I used Trust for the first few steps. I found that it does plenty of damage, fires quickly, and has minimal kickback. Easy to get headshots with it. I was stuck in the 500-700 glory range while completing the first few steps of the quest. But today I gained around 800 points and I'm at 1450, about 650 points away from Fabled, so I wouldn't worry too much about glory until you get to the last step. On the last step, you can equip the weapons you're most comfortable with. I'm using bygones and telesto with a nova warp warlock. But a good shotgun instead of telesto is useful, and blade barrage for hunters and hammers for titans are useful in this quest.
