simply put the matchmaking needs serious work. lfg for a group isnt a fix to the mess that is matchmaking be it comp quickplay gambit or whatever. it all needs work so one post per game where trash happens

1 ReplyTHE FIX: solo player only queues for all PVP and Gambit game types. Why do bungie continue to resist this? I suspect they are worried game queue time will increase too much with players fragmented over lots of queues, but queues already have less players because solo players are avoiding comp.

To be fair, they can’t “fix” it. They simply don’t have the necessary talent in the studio. That’s been made pretty clear over the last several months. They’re also too busy trying to balance matches with programming trickery instead of just matching up similarly skilled players. Put two similarly skilled players against each other and you bet that one of those players is going to be hamstrung by Bungie for one reason or another.

4 RepliesThey don't care about the PVP players unless you are the top 2%. The system was designed to prevent top teir players who only play in groups from having to wait long queue times to find a fair match. That toxicity trickles down to everyone below them. I'm going back to overwatch, which isn't perfect, but at least when you solo queue in bronze you don't match with a full stack of grandmasters.

Lfg requirements for [b][i]anything[/i][/b]PvP: You have to have exotic tear lunas howl with 18,000,000 glory with a 200.2 K/D with 12k Prestige Raids done. Will be "stat" checking.

yep its complete garbage.. i play pretty well in gambit. but seriously how hard is it.. played 10 matches today won only 2. cause people suck at playing gambit somehow.... i want to be matched with players with same average primeevil dmg as me.

Yeah, consistently matching against max glory, not forgotten tryhards in quickplay is getting old. It's not fun at all honestly. I'm an average player, why is there always a 3.0+kd player in every single one of my games. Bring back some degree of sbmm please.

An equal number of people would complain if they turned SBMM on. The only answer is (and has always been) to run 2 identical playlists, one with hard SBMM (and ranking) and the other with hard CBMM (for the top tier that can't stand SBMM). They did this in Halo 3, I don't understand why it's this giant mystery all of a sudden 11 years later. It's like finding out there are people who believe the earth is flat again... I mean, how does that happen?
