Hello there, this is my personal list of things that bother me about the current state of Destiny 2. Don't get me wrong, I love the game and Bungie did a really great job with Forsaken, but some things still could use some further development. 1. Perks on ghost shells and sparrows are designed poorly What is the point of cool looking sparrows and ghost shells, when you are kind of bound to taking the equip with the best perks. For example, I got that really cool looking ghost shell, but end up using my ugly exotic shell, just because the perks on it are much better. Letting the player swap/choose between all the perks they already unlocked on other shells or sparrows would fix this issue. 2. Shaders and Transmat Effects should work like ornaments or ghost projections The title says it all, it would be much more satisfying those cosmetics wouldn't be one-time use. This way you could color your equip they way you like it all the time / have your favourite transmat effect on every ship, which does not bind you to a specific ship you don't like just because it got a cool transmat. 3. Randomized gear and how it is recreated (also featuring god-rolls) Being able to recreate already aquired gear was a great idea, so was the idea of randomized perks. But the way they synergize together could be improved. The free space in my vault which was created by giving me the option to recreate gear is now being taken by all my rolled weapons, which kinda takes away the point of it. Also, the way how god-rolls work seems kinda controversial to me. If a player really loves a specific weapon, should he grind the last wish raid 50 times in order to have a chance to get the best version of it? Fixing those issues seem to be difficult. What if there was a way to upgrade a specific weapon to a god-roll, then the god-rolled weapon can be re-created? Or maybe players could get to choose from perks they already aquired on that specific weapon, similar to the system I suggested regarding ghost shell and sparrow perks. 4. Increasing the power level cap It doesn't feel rewarding to grind countless of hours for better gear, upgrade all your favourite weapons and armor to the maximum power level just to come back after a few months and see that it's all worthless now. Sure, giving the players more reasons to play the game is good, but the way Bungie increases the power level cap can be very frustating. For me, it wouldn't take much to fix. The upgrade costs for gear that was already on maximum level should just be lowered. This way, players had no problem getting their old gear to the new maximum power level. 5. Character design and relationships This is nothing Bungie could change right now, it's just a tip for future. Character design plays a huge role in terms of creating a good story, and so far there wasn't any depth to a single character whatsoever. Almost all characters lack personality, and Bungie recently killed the only character that actually had some kind of personality. Also, we don't really know anything about the background stories of each character. Being able to gather some information in wikis doesn't count. The way the game currently handles characters just makes it impossible to build any relationships to a specific character. Keep in mind that this is just my personal opinion, and please let me know what you think about the topics I came up with in the comments.
