Its been real, but the Mars and Forsaken expansions have totally burned me out. Not complaining because Forsaken has some of the best content the game has ever seen. Its just the repetition of it all...
The game is just not fun to me atm.
Why say this on here? Cause its a social space where we communicate our opinions on the game.
What's yours?
* I guess its also because of all the bullshit from Bungie. You go through this long quest to get a weapon thats terrible, or you have to grind the raid every week for a small chance at a weapon you want that would become obsolete in a week after you get it. Blah...
** Lots of good opinions whether they agree with me or not on this thread so thanks.

Edited by RAUDRULF: 10/14/2018 9:58:18 AMbut that hunter is so close to 400..... do it.! DO IT! I remember this one time I was so tired from pulling an all nighter, that I basically couldn't stay awake anymore. I woke up with my controller on my chest and played for another 5 hours straight. the plot seemed to have changed and everything was not making sense. I was like, hey what is this shit? then I realized I have been Streaming Arrow on Netflix and my controller batteries were dead.

There is too much to do atm across 3 characters, that's if you want to get everything done. But no law saying u have to do everything Cherry pick the things you do find interesting, and leave the rest There's a race to hit 600, to then go: Now What? Take your time and enjoy the game

The RNG has done it in for me. The more you play, the worse it gets.

I just feel like the core of the game is shaky and flawed. Ever since they got rid of having a hard cap for light unless you do the raid 1 to hit maximum light like in D1 the game now suffers all these years later. The issue is that rewards do not correlate to effort input by the player because everything is piss easy and you no longer need to do the pinnacle of PVE content to get good drops. You can be thumbless timmy who AFKs in a strike and happens to get an exotic while everyone else has been doing the same laundry list for over 500 hours and has not gotten shit. Turning the PVE gameplay into a laundry list was the biggest issue. Flashpoints, lost sectors, strikes, gambit and crucible can get you to max light albiet slowly. The issue though its the same laundry list everyone else does so rewarding players with end game gear and exotics for doing monotonus tasks has broken the grind. If more challenging content with fixed loot pools, quests or bounties tied to them i.e. Nightfalls, Raids, Dungeons, Competitive PvP, Iron Banner or any other content they can plan to add where enemies don't just roll over and die then maybe this game would be in a better spot so difficult content could have significantly better loot pools and exotic rates.

If only I could get rdr2 on pc. I guess I’ll just get odyssey

8 RepliesEdited by DrMcnugget1: 10/11/2018 11:34:31 PMI’ve been watching tv for 3 hours while looking at the controller contemplating on playing but then the “why grind for a couple hours for the same underpowered loot” comes in my mind.......Cmon RDR2

2 RepliesI really miss back in D1 when end game level gear dropped at max light. You got a Fatebringer? That's amazing, you only need one, instead of hoping you get another one next week that's actually higher light level. You're forced to play certain parts of the game to get good gear, which becomes useless with your next drop. Mostly Heavy or Special weapons because 90% of the drops are in those places. Infusion is too expensive to bring up all your favorite gear so you just play with whatever is higher light... So you're playing parts of the game you don't want to, with gear you don't actually like, trying to get rewards that literally 1/2 of the time don't level you up.

K bye

1 ReplyI don't like this expansion. I feel they went to far into the hardcore grind. For a looter, its honestly not even good at that. This throttling and holding exotics has made a great expansion literally unenjoyable.

Good for u now fuk off

2 RepliesMy issue is a lack of friends playing. They are rarely on, and the grind is boring as hell alone. At least with my friends we can laugh it up. And before people start saying “brah, just go on lfg and find a group brah.” I don’t want to find a group, honestly. I want to play with my friends. The people I hang out with outside of work. The folks I hit the bar with and have a bite to eat with and too many beers with and Uber home. The people that know me and my family. I don’t want to play with chip crunching, vape sucking, belching adolescents dropping the N bomb all night long. It’s annoying as hell. So let’s tone down the grind a little. It can still be rewarding for streamers and hard core players, but it seems so dull to me.

I’m in the same boat. It’s a combo of being forced to do too much stuff I don’t really like to play in order to play the stuff I want to play, having a hard time finding lfg players to do nightfall stuff with (beyond the milestones), and the raid was kind of a huge flop for me and no prestige mode down the line makes it hopeless imo. I’m worried about how they do these new tiny DLCs and I don’t like how they went away from the more casual game to having to grind just to do things I want. I think the root of the problem is how they designed the light system and grind. If the light grind was more streamlined and not so dramatically spread out (100 levels) then the raid would be more accurately and consistently difficult. I wouldn’t have had to play so much stuff I didn’t really want to in order to play what I wanted (this really burnt me out), and if the light gap wasn’t so dramatic it would be easier to find people to play with.

5 RepliesIdk about you, but i’ve been having a blast there is nothing more exciting than seeing another pair of greaves drop Like I am cumming my pants just thinking about the 20 go figures i’m going to get tbjs week

8 RepliesEdited by Nicarus86: 10/12/2018 1:37:07 AMI'm feeling a bit of that burn-out as well, mainly because of the massive RNG going on right now: •RNG if you ever get exotics (especially the newest ones) •RNG if you get good teammates hitting LFG as a solo player for 90% of the endgame •RNG if you get a piece of gear you actually need (and not another Edge Transit) •RNG if you get the perks you actually want when you get the gear you need There's one thing they can do that would help keep things interesting for both casual and hardcore players: a "crafting" system that can be accessed in-game or via companion/third-party app. They can give Banshee a proper job in the Tower by helping us "craft" gear from all the stuff we grind for. What you do is take a gun or armor piece you like to Banshee and have him do a "factory reset" on it, clearing out whatever it had on it and back down to power level 10. From there, you equip scopes, perks, mods, and masterwork stats of your choice. •Imagine Tap the Trigger and Hip-Fire Grip on the Last Dance sidearm for high stability made better with a 10-tier Reload masterwork upgrade for super-fast gunplay! •How about that coveted Outlaw/Kill Clip combo on the Duke handcannon? •How about armor that has perks tailored to help either of the above mentioned weapons? Do note you have to rebuild the gear's power from scratch, so the resource costs can become rather high. However, you're still grinding for a chance at a natural god-roll, so you're building up resources all the while to BUILD a god-roll eventually.

3 RepliesI think I figured out why this is happening for some, including myself. It is the trickle of content and nullifying of all previous content. We have new content, but in the grand scheme of the game it is very little. All old gear from the first year is pointless to get, except for some exotics. Even if you started playing this game today, all the old content is completely pointless. It makes no sense to me these 3 or 6 month cycles where you burn out everything and then get a little more content to repeat over and over. I really don't understand why they have all this content that means nothing anymore. Nobody is playing the "old" raids. They are just sitting there with nobody playing them like they are last years game, but they are in THIS game... I think there have been some seriously bad decisions made behind the scenes. At this point I am sure D3 will be released barebones and the content will be added in again every few months for 20 or 40 dollars. I do believe I'm done. Instead of getting a full complete game, we just get a little game every few months. Kind of sad really.

Bungie and destiny would be way better off if they focused on the core gameplay features. Making them robust and substantial would do wonders. Right now it's all really shallow. Part of that is simply making interesting missions anyway. I can rant all day about the amount of work that needs done. For example it's pretty telling when a games visually distinct enemy factions all behave nearly the same.
-
2 RepliesMy main issue is not enough loot. Blind well should have had full gear sets and weapons that were just acquired through blind well. They should have made new year 2 loot for every planet. Should have brought factions back permanently like in destiny 1 so there was even more loot there to chase. For a looter shooter it just seems there is still a lack of loot to go after. The game is still enjoyable to me though. Just needs a lot more variety in the loot pool in my opinion.

4 RepliesWell do you have any feedback on how they can improve the game? Nothing's gonna get better if you just say your bored and leave it at that

You need to take a break... a real long one like about a year. See how you feel about it then. at this point your perspectives a little bit skewed from Keeping Up with the game so much. I know exactly where you're at exactly what you're going through I've been there myself trust me.

Take a break.. don't play for 6 months.

1 ReplyMe too. Love the game, but just deleted so as not to tempt me. My issue is that Competitive is still a bad playlist. I'm a pretty good player, but am routinely stuck with underleveled teammates, quitters, DDOSing, and overpowered opponents. The population is just too small - at about 1400 at my peak, I was apparently about 77,000th on Earth. That's crazy. So, I'm going to focus on SP games for a while, dive into Witcher, RDR2. I'll be back, but after a month or so.

I'm looking forward to Anthem in February. Weather it plays as good as it looks doesn't matter. I'm excited to try it. I wish more though that we could get a release date for Borderlands 3... that's what I really want. When I'm done chasing this level cap I'll be taking another break form Destiny again.
