Translation guide:
Fun = Grind
Meaningful Gear = Something we don't want you to be able to afford until you are max light
Max Light = Something that will take the average player the whole season to obtain
Masterwork Armor = Something that the average player can't afford
Daily Heroic Challenge = Four Day Heroic Challenge
Powerful Gear = Not so Powerful Gear
Power Weapon = Edge Transit
Masterwork Core = Scarce resource needed for infusion (Apparently this will be called something else now) I have heard it called Grindy Gems or a few other suggestions.
Mod Components= Scarce resource primarily available to year 1 players who destroyed year 1 weapons/armor
Year 1 Armor = Something we don't want you to use
Etheric Spiral = Planetary material on Tangled Shore that is rarely used
Dead Ghost Parts = The real planetary material on the Tangled Shore that is used for weekly bounties and is hard to obtain in quantity due to qty 10 limit
Strike Catalysts = Mythical item that doesn't exist
Crucible Catalysts = Mythical item that doesn't exist
Nightfall Exclusive loot = Mythical item that doesn't exist
Forsaken Exotics = Extremely Rare item that drops RNG. The more you obtain the lower the chance to get what you don't have due to diluted loot pool.
Forsaken Quest Exotics = Guaranteed item that drops from completing quest. However, it further dilutes the exotic loot pool, making it harder to obtain what you don't have.
Planetary Vendors and Xur = People you visited in year 1, and don't see again in Year 2 unless their destination is flashpoint.
Scout Rifiles/Fusion Rifles = Things we nerf
Edit added a few more:
Redeeming Banshee rewards = Set of 10 thumb push reps
Gambit Bouties/quests = Things we introduced so players won't play the objective to win.
Good PvE exotics (ie Sleeper) = Things we nerf to appease PvP players
Eververse error = Critical error we must immediately patch
Game and quest breaking errors = minor errors we will fix eventually
Job = Redrix's Broadsword quest
Job = Waiting for Malfeasance boss in Gambit
Overtime Job = Iron in the Blood bounty, Complete 30 Iron Banner matches (per character, 90 total) in 1 week
Overtime Job = Grinding faction rallies to level 50 in 1 week for only chance (so far) to get certain catalysts
Part time Job = Shader deletion (now only part time with cryptarch's help)
Filthy Casual = Anyone playing less than 80/hours week
Customer Service = There is no word in "bungie speak" for this, does not translate (forum posts and tweets do not make up for lack of support chat, email, phone, etc).
We are listening = We are listening (to the streamers)
Clan Bounties = PvP Bounties
Ammo Synths = Forgot to bring those from D1 (Raid flags are an improvement)
Skeleton Keys = Forgot to bring those form D1
Class ability choices = Forgot to bring those from D1
Glass Needles = Forgot to bring those from D1
Eris Mourn = Forgot her from D1 (Guess she doesn't have a ship ...)
Sleeping Beauty Triumph for all 40 nodes on Mars = Let's make them open Descent.Cavern.Warsat 1600 times before we give them all 40
Control = Clash
Iron Banner Control = Clash
Supremacy = Clash
Clash = Clash
Edit: Strike Catalysts apparently do exist. I got Wardiff Coil last night. After grinding Vanguard to rank 50 last season and not getting any, I was starting to doubt.
I still maintain Crucible catalysts are a myth. I reset my valor last season and grinded up half again and got no drops. This season I just grinded out 30 ranks of Iron Banner and still no Catalyst drops.

Does "not as intended" translate to "exactly as intended but you caught us" or "yeah we really don't bother with much playtesting, if it's not crashing constantly it's good"?
