Exotics are just a Lil too rare.
Yep I know they'll be those out there that just love to grind for everything, but there's grind and there's GRIND.
I don't mind the grind if I can see a Lil light at the end of the tunnel, like the grind for the Chaperone or Ace of spades, you know if you work at it, and succeed we'll be rewarded.
But with things the way they are now, In theory you could play every day for a year and never get a new exotic, just repeats from year one.😬
Something about this needs a tweak, as all it'll eventually breed is contempt and anger toward the constant repeat drops, and lack of new ones, Edge transit comes to mind, two Prime engrams yesterday, both decrypt into that garbage.
If Bungie can quickly fix the Sleeper due to minor complaints, they should hurry up and fix this as there are literally thousands online complaining, roll on Elder Scrolls 6 and Anthem; save me from this pointless unrewarding grind.

2 RepliesCorrection... NEW exotics are too rare. I have earned 1 NEW exotic since the launch. It was some gloves that let me hold my bow as long as I want to... Not sure how that is an EXOTIC PERK, but they infused nicely into my normal armor, after I found them to be useless.

2 RepliesThe exotics are pretty lackluster really. Queen breaker isn't as good as sleeper. My legendary bow is better than wish ender. I'm hearing that malfeasance is weak and Ace is ok. They are exotics on the sense that they are hard to find only.

It's been 3 weeks, and not a single exotic drop. None. Not even a duplicate. The only exotic drops I've gotten are the Ornaments from Eververse.

Its not that they are too rare, its that there is no duplicate protection.

No, they aren't. I got 3 new exotics so far and I'm fine with it. I play around 4h per day within the week.

The exotic droprate is just fine in my opinion, it makes getting that exotic you want an exciting moment, like how it was in D1. I do however believe duplicate exotics should be removed from the drop pool until you have them all.

2 RepliesWas leveling up my second character and was hunting the trickster. The courier dropped the rigged exotic engram and i genuinely got excited and forgot it was part of the campaign 🙄. Picked it up. And the disappointment was real. Thats how desperate i am for at least one new exotic drop.

Still haven’t had a forsaken exotic drop. All dupes. I swear bungie gets off on creating more n more issues. Change one so it’s better-but must balance that out by making a damn stupid shitty change. Oh n speaking of balance-Breakthrough is kinda fun-but if u want a guaranteed win-one, go blade barrage-an instant OHK to half the surrounding planet, with no counter at all n ur defending. If ur defending on the deciding round-easy peasy lemon squeezy.

i couldnt care less about exotics at this point..worthless trash, and NOT special like bungholie said they'd be.. both mine i got so far were lower than what i had equipted AND even with my light, not even 1 higher.

My chars are 580+ & after all that grinding had about 10 exotic drops & only 1 of those is a new item . It's a tough one i mean i don't them dropping like Edge Transits or anything but if the loot pool is staying this way then totally agree the drop rates for exotics should be upped a couple of % . Another solution would maybe have xur sell a consumable that behaves like the Leviathon ghost that gives a chance for an exotic "not already in your collection" .

PURE AWESOMENESS and my teammates hated me :DDDDDD Those exciting moments make the rarity of exotics worth it. Duplicates on the other hand................ I just really want duplicates to be toned down to like a 10% chance. Exotics are fine as they are. Like 1-2 a week at this rate. Just the duplicate rate is a huge kick in the balls. I get the feeling exotic drop chance is higher as you level up tho.

A vigilance wing. I just got a freaking vigilance wing. Every single exotic I've gotten has been a /release/ weapon. Either do something about the drop rate, make all exotics drop out of the new pool leaving the old exotics as xur only, or have xur bring new gear. Do one of them, I don't care witch. Just do something x.x

When they drop you should be really excited. Why does it make a difference whether you get one now or later? Ya know I've only gotten one to drop since forsaken and I play everyday.. I have been defending bungie on this I like that they aren't just giving them away, but I'm entirely fed up with this RNG now and it's starting to alter my experience, they DO need to do something about it cuz it's going back to that old conversation about players being rewarded for their time which I thought at one point was one of bungies main focuses, and honestly the rewards are a bit trash when you compare time spent, and I think players are going to start realizing that once they hit max light level. I'm not saying that there aren't great rewards in the game to earn, but when they all depend on RNG, it starts to become boring and I find myself unmotivated to play when the drop rates are this low, (the one exotic I did get was a year 1).

2 RepliesOkay I’ll say it. I agree that exotics are [i][u]too[/u][/i] rare now. I only have 1 exotic weapon the Cerberus auto rifle and I got it last week. I got another exotic to drop today but it was a pre-forsaken armor piece that I already have. I know there are guardians out there without a single drop. Bungie, exotics are too rare now. Please increase the drops for exotics.

I agree (me myself have been lucky enough to get 3 new exotics out of the 6 I’ve found since forsaken). I have friends who grind and grind hoping for that gun they saw in the trailers that they really want. They should make a list that moves the most recent exotic earned to the bottom of the list and the higher up the list, the bigger the chance of you getting that exotic. So eventually you will get it, just have to grind for it. Or... Make a method that you can change your next exotic drop to a forsaken exotic (only drops forsaken gear), such as a consumable. Make it hard to get such as 3-5 unopened legendary engrams for the consumable (also giving low level engrams a use).

1 ReplyI've been playing for 4-6 hours a day, every day since forsaken came out and I have two Forsaken exotics to my name. The drop rate for year one catalysts from crucible and strikes is also trash. I have also gotten two since Forsaken came out. It's exhausting.

Bring back 3ofC, all the try hards who want the mega-grind can simply NOT use them, but their desire to grind SHOULD NOT decide for the rest of us that have BETTER things to do with our time than mega-grind for exotics!!!

For whatever reason, my hunter was quite lucky last weekend. I received lord of wolves and wavesplitter. I also received a very high y1 exotic Helm. My warlock just got apotheosis veil from finishing the campaign

I spent hours upon hours of grinding and then finally got an exotic engram... It was an edge transit. JK but it was a legit freaking merciless I got another one which was another merciless like what the heck
