When deactivating the Warlock’s new Arc super early, Chaos Reach, no super energy is saved at all.
Making this post since they didn’t seem to fix it in their previous hot fix and I don’t really see any other topics/discussions mentioning this issue.
Help raise awareness of this bug

Another Tuesday, another patch, and of course no Chaos Reach fix... Take your time Bungie, not that this was one of your vastly promoted new supers...
-
I really hope thaty won't make us wait 1 month to get this thing fixed...
-
Yeah if you cancel the super almost instantly after casting it gives back around a fourth, leading me to believe they just have incorrect values on how much it's supposed to give back. Wish it was fixed in previous hotfix because I love this subclass.
-
It has been fixed. It's just not as potent of an energy conservation as you thought it would be. It won't stop the bar right where you had it at when you pressed the button. Basically after the initial burst, if you cut it off as soon as possible, you'll be left with roughly 30-40% super energy. I've tested this myself.
-
I wish it would lock the flipping camera behind your shoulder or something. Nothing better than popping the super only to see nothing but the back of my head and part of my ass with a blue line shooting from.my foot..
-
They're already aware of it, and working on a fix.
-
To be fair that super drains energy so frickin fast this entire feature is completely pointless.
-
They've addressed it already
-
I’ve made at least 3 posts about this and nobody gave a crap. I’m glad someone got the attention of people.
-
It's just the nerf hitting early.
-
I would also like to add that the melee for the new warlock arc subclass gets used up regardless if you connect with your melee or not, if I'm not mistaken with all other warlock melee abilities if you dont connect/land your melee then the melee ability does not get used up.
-
What do you mean?! That super is so powerful. It takes barley a second to kill a player. Also, that exotic armour peice makes the super last way longer. And also with that, if your like 80% on your super charge. You can just run and get it.
-
Oh it’s not a bug, it’s just bungie coming up with a good idea before nerfing it to the ground. If you activate your super and deactivate it a little less than a second after, you will get maybe 15% super energy back.
-
How does this get past testing? Did they even test Forsaken? "This super is unique because it can be canceled early to save energy." "Cool, does it work?" "Nah, but ship it anyway."
-
Can we also fix the beam in crucible when I’m backed into the wall the super hits nothing even though my character isn’t blocked
-
I don’t bother using it because it’s so short. Unless it’s for a boss fight it’s not practical at all.
-
No. You have the benefit of saving some energy if you mess up and activate at a bad time but cancel immediately. So in other words Git Gud and stop panic supering one thing.
-
I just use it all up lol. No need to save anything, it looks so cool 😎!
-
I went to Bungie's help forum, and this is one of their listed issues.
-
If you cancel it immediately after popping, you get a decent amount back, but that’s pretty much useless. Cancel any later than 3/4 bar and you get literally nothing back.
-
Not to mention that when it's using it you can't see anything else bother then ur super beam
-
It does work, it's just the returns are garbage. You have to end your super almost immediately to get any energy back. At at peak it's only like 30%.
-
Good post; swore I was tripping when I saw it go away.
-
Yeah its like the 2nd reason to use that super, did anyone even playtest it? 🙄
-
Agreed yet they were pretty quick to fix the titian super being negated by well of radiance.
-
Can we also get an audio cue for when we are hitting stuff?
